Oderhaff Cycle Route: Overview of possible stages

The Oder Lagoon Cycle Route, formerly known as the Mecklenburg Lakes Cycle Route, stretches approximately 444 kilometers from Lüneburg in Lower Saxony to Ueckermünde on the Szczecin Lagoon in Western Pomerania. Depending on the tour you choose, different stages await you on your journey. These sections are particularly popular:

Lüneburg to Ludwigslust

• Route: Start in the historic Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, along the Elbe through the Elbe valley meadows, past Bleckede and Hitzacker, to Ludwigslust.
• points of interest & sights: Scharnebeck ship lift, Dömitz fortress, Ludwigslust castle.

Ludwigslust to Parchim

• Route: From Ludwigslust through the Griese area, along the river Elde, to the town of Parchim.

Parchim to Waren (Müritz)

• Route: Through the Mecklenburg Lake District, past Lübz and Plau am See, along the Plauer See and the Müritz, to Waren.

Waren (Müritz) to Neustrelitz

• Route: Through the Müritz National Park, past Federow and Kratzeburg, to the residential town of Neustrelitz.

Neustrelitz to Neubrandenburg

• Route: Through wooded areas and along several lakes, via Burg Stargard, to Neubrandenburg.

Neubrandenburg to Ueckermünde

• Route: Through the Ueckermünde Heath, along the river Uecker, to the Szczecin Lagoon to Ueckermünde.
