Breisach is clearly visible from afar. The Stephansmünster is enthroned high above the Rhine plain and the historic city center is directly behind the cathedral. The route continues to Colmar, a beautiful old town in the heart of Alsace. Eguisheim is also known as the "cradle of the Alsatian wine region".
Day 3: Rest day or Alsatian Wine Route, approx. 50 km
Stroll through the narrow streets of the beautiful old town of Colmar and the medieval town of Eguisheim or experience the diversity of the Alsatian Wine Route. In the wine-growing villages of Ribeauvillè, Hunawihr, Riquewihr and Kaysersberg, time seems to have stood still since the Middle Ages.
Day 4: Colmar/Eguisheim - Mulhouse, approx. 60 km
Your route takes you along the French Wine Route via Rouffach, a town with a romantic character and Mediterranean climate, to Ungersheim. Here you can visit the largest open-air museum in France before reaching Mulhouse.
