Trip from 07.07.-14.07.2016 Lübeck - Stralsund

For the first day, starting in Lübeck, I thought the tour to Wismar at 79 km was too long. Alternatively, we were told that we could take the train to Travemünde. Why not start the trip in Travemünde, since that is where the Baltic Sea cycle path begins? The train journey to Travemünde cost extra. It was also a shame that the accommodation was not in Warnemünde, as it added another 30 km there and back. The time could have been spent in Warnemünde. The cycle paths were not always easy to find, the signs were sometimes on the opposite side. It is also a shame that although it is called the Baltic Sea cycle path, the Baltic Sea is not often visible from the cycle path. The maps were very extensive and the cycle paths were described in detail, but who reads the descriptions while driving and you don't want to keep stopping.

Super tour

After 8 years we did this beautiful tour again and were thrilled again. Some of the cycle paths had been improved and this time we also had a great summer week.

Super relaxing active holiday

We were on the road from July 12.7.2010th to July 17.7.2010th, with very good rental bikes. The beginning was very hilly but manageable for anyone with normal fitness. In addition to a new perspective on land and water from the cyclists, we met like-minded holidaymakers along the way and in the well-chosen hotels who didn't just want to lie on the beach all day, although we did that for a few hours every day. Stopping at a fisherman's or a small restaurant on the outskirts made us want to go on more holidays like this.

A hot journey

from Lübeck to stralsund - at 36 degrees. hot...but nice. everything went well, a minor breakdown could be repaired by yourself. a small bicycle handlebar bag would be great, so that you have your travel documents more readily available and can also take a look while driving.

Nice tour

We were still missing this last part of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route. The alternatives of shortening the first day with around 80 km from Lübeck to Wismar by train or ferry did not convince us. We then took the alternative route from Lübeck via Schlutup - Dassow - Klein Voigtshagen - Rankendorf - Klütz - Ostseebad Boltenhagen (70 km). The journey from Warnemünde to Rostock along the city motorway with all its entrances and exits takes some getting used to. We started the tour by boat from here the next day. Otherwise we were very satisfied with the route, the accommodation and the documents we received. The return transport from Stralsund to Lübeck with our own bikes worked perfectly.

It was particularly great that our bikes were transported from Wismar to Kühlungsborn on a sick day and we were able to continue our vacation afterwards. tough start to the tour, but good alternatives are offered, too many kilometers to be driven, very luxurious accommodation, breakfast is always great, a wonderful bike tour, even if the weather didn't play along the first few days

Baltic Coast - scenic bike ride, great hotels

A very nice bike tour, well prepared and perfectly executed. The stages between Kuehlungsborn and Fischland are too short, something could be rescheduled. However, the landscape is great, the choice of hotels cannot be faulted. Best hotels with flair and often in a central inner-city location.

Great tour

Dear employees of Mecklenburger Radtouren, The journey from Lübeck to Stralsund was very nice and very well organized. With the travel documents that you provide, you can't really get lost. The hotels chosen were very good, but "Am alten Hafen", Wismar, was not as good as the other hotels. Small rooms as double rooms and the breakfast was also worse than in the other hotels. Therefore, the hotel rating is slightly lower.

fantastic bike trip

This was the first time we'd done a bike tour like this and we were absolutely thrilled! Despite mixed weather forecasts with some storm warnings, we stayed safe and mostly dry in September and were often able to enjoy the beautiful landscape in sunshine. The hotels were well chosen, centrally located and the luggage transport went smoothly. We'd be happy to do it again...

Beautiful bike trip

With a brisk northeast wind - always from the front! - and with beautiful, sunny weather, we four women from Switzerland have the well-organized bike tour from Lübeck to Stralsund very much enjoyed. The fact that the four wheels were not ready at our starting point in Lübeck as agreed did not bother us in any way. From Travemünde it went through the beautiful Baltic Sea landscape without a breakdown Stralsund. An instruction manual for the e-bike would have been helpful!

Wonderful bike tour, great weather, daily bathing opportunities, lots of nature, but also nice cities

Generally very good hotels. The most beautiful and cozy was the Warnemünder Hof. The hotel in Stralsund was central and yet quiet and we had a room with a view of the old town panorama. The hotel in Kuehlungsborn was unfortunately a construction site and therefore without atmosphere. The back was in scaffolding, no view of a garden. Breakfast was always fabulous. wheels perfect. Also the support: we had lost our mobile phone and wallet on the way, they found it again, gave it to a spa administration and brought it back to us through the luggage transport within 2 days. As a suggestion: I would like to see a bike tour with more typical, smaller accommodations, e.g. with thatched roofs or family hotels/guest houses with flair as an additional booking option. The Baltic Sea Cycle Path was by far my most beautiful bike tour so far!

As always great

I have been driving or hiking with the for several years Mecklenburger Radtour. Everything has always worked out perfectly. This year, the short-term rebooking due to my corona vaccination was also mastered excellently. A big thank you for that!!! I was still missing this part of the Baltic Coast Cycle Path. I was incredibly lucky with the weather in June. The corona restrictions were limited. At the Lübeck hotel, the check-in time was more than accommodating. This time I didn't have a single hotel (always book 3 stars) where I thought "let's get out of here", accommodation requests could be taken into account, the bike was fine. A very nice, varied and easy to drive tour, good directions. Only in the Wismar detour there was no signage, which was made up for by nice, helpful Wismerans. Also next year I will book my vacation with MRT.

Baltic Coast Cycle Path Lübeck Stralsund

Great tour in the best weather The cycle path is well signposted, although not always consistent with the description provided. I found it a bit strange that there was no personal instruction (e-bike). Apparently because of Corona, but it would certainly have been possible to do it outdoors with a mask. Accommodations were OK. Lübeck the Raddisson blue was unfortunately the only one on the trip where the pool was closed, but otherwise a nice hotel with a great location I felt most comfortable in the Hotel IFA Graal-Müritz. Nice room with a balcony and the indoor pool is worth seeing The hotel in Stralsund "Baltic" is by no means a 4 star hotel. Rooms badly in need of renovation. On the whole satisfied with the organization and also with the luggage transfer (it would be nicer if you had to leave the luggage at the reception a little later, 9 a.m. is very early)

You are a great team, we had a lot of luggage with us, very helpful. From Barth look again for the signs, there is another bike path that we drove by mistake, but that was wrong.

Travel from Lübeck to in September Stralsund

Dear staff, we finished our lovely bike tour a few days ago. As in the previous reviews, we were generally happy with everything. We found the travel documents good but not particularly practical. The descriptions of the hotel routes were sometimes complicated. The accommodation in Dierhagen/Dändorf was a no-go. This guesthouse (70s standard) has nothing to do with a 2-3 star character. This raises the question of whether you should take a look at the accommodation on site. We booked back in February (!) to make sure we were always accommodated in 1st category hotels. Unfortunately, that was not the case in Dändorf. All the other hotels were good to very good. Unfortunately, two of them were very far out of town. GuS Krause

Fantastic Baltic Sea

This year we tackled the missing route on the Baltic Sea with our own bikes. In order to have a little more time for the individual cities, we have in Lübeck, Wismar, Warnemünde and Stralsund Additional nights booked. I think that was a good decision about the beauty of Wismar and Stralsund to enjoy. With the exception of the Ostseehotel in Dierhagen (we booked the superior category II), which had the feel of a youth hostel, we were totally satisfied with the choice of accommodation. We particularly liked the fact that an organized return transport to Lübeck was offered. Because it would have been quite difficult to travel by train with bikes and luggage.

Baltic happiness

An impressive, varied experience of nature in constant, physical movement between heaven, earth and water - with the certainty of arriving safely in a friendly, atmospheric home in the evening, with a very individualistic profile. I was also able to get to know a lot about the country and people; the time was too short with; I'll be back!

Baltic Sea from Lübeck to Stralsund

Thank you for the well-organized tour, everything worked out great with the rental bikes and luggage transport. Great, varied routes, mostly away from traffic. The hotels were well chosen, we felt comfortable everywhere. Only the bike cellar in Rostock was difficult to get to, but that's complaining at a high level. We really enjoyed it, we will happily recommend you to others

We really enjoyed the tour so far. All services worked perfectly. Only the detour from Travemünde to Rostock (where to stay overnight) attracted negative attention due to the unattractive cycle path (maybe left out in the future).

Great and well organized tour

There was a not entirely new full closure due to construction work just before Zierow on the route described by, with no diversion notice, so we had to push through sand for several hundred meters on the beach - a hint here would have been helpful. That was complaining at a high level - otherwise a great tour, good organization, beautiful landscape with the right weather. :-)

Well organized tour

You planned the bike tour very well. Hotels and luggage transport great. The return transport was also very well organized. We were dropped off directly at the parking garage. The marking of the long-distance cycle path “Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Path” is inadequate. Here you should definitely insist that the signposts and symbols are at least installed at intersections. You have to stop and look far too often.
