The Vistula is the longest river in Poland and connects important historical cities of Poland such as Kraków, Warsaw and Gdańsk. The queen of Polish rivers is a natural river. It forms a landscape that can no longer be found anywhere else in Europe. Their course was hardly regulated; one can still observe the formation of islands and the washing out of the shores. It crosses the whole country from the Beskids in the south to Gdańsk in the north. The Vistula is home to many mammals. Here you can meet the rare otters, as well as numerous beavers and muskrats. But the greatest wealth of the river is its birds - here you can meet both the most species at once, as well as rare and endangered bird species. If you want to get to know the world on the Vistula, we offer you an eight-day bike tour from Warsaw to Gdańsk along the Vistula. On the way you will visit old and historical places such as the Gothic Copernicus town of Toruń, picturesque towns such as Chełmno/Kulm and Grudziądz/Graudenz and the Malbork Castle, where the huge Teutonic Castle is located. From Thorn to Gdańsk, our bike tour not only takes us along the Vistula, but also along the crusader castles.

Individual arrival in Warsaw. Check-in at a 3* or 4* hotel in the center of Warsaw. At 17:15 meeting with the Polish guide at the start hotel in Warsaw.

Optional: At 17:30 City Walking Tour of the Old Town in Warsaw.

Optional: dinner in one
cozy restaurant in the old town in Warsaw.

Overnight place: 3* (or 4*) starting hotel in Warsaw

After breakfast approx. 1 hour train ride from Warsaw towards Sochaczew. After that in the morning
cycle to Żelazowa Wola to the birthplace of Frederic Chopin (optional visit). At 12:00 you can listen to Chopin music recital in Żelazowa Wola – about 1 hour.
In the afternoon you cycle through NP Kampinos and further through beautiful small villages between two rivers: Vistula and Bzura. Afterwards you will reach the town of Wyszogród on the Vistula, where you can visit a museum dedicated to the Vistula (optional). Then a transfer to Płock nad Vistula [transfer 40 km].

Overnight place: Płock on the Viste

After breakfast optional Sightseeing in Płock. In the morning after a transfer from Płock to Włocławek you will cycle along the Vistula from Włocławek in the direction of Thorn/Toruń.
On the way you will take the Vistula River ferry in Nieszawa (paid on the spot). The cycling stage ends in the most famous spa town in Poland - Ciechocinek, where you can see the graduation towers and
spa facilities can be visited. Then a short bus transfer to Toruń/Thorn.
Toruń/Thorn has been on the elite UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997. The town owes its inimitable character primarily to excellently preserved architectural monuments - Gothic churches, baroque granaries, graceful town houses, many of which have not changed in appearance for centuries. Torun is a city where past and present meet and science meets culture. The enchanting old town motivates everyone to take walks in the footsteps of European cultural heritage. Besides the monuments, Torun is also famous as the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. Here we will taste the famous Torun gingerbread.

Dinner in a cozy restaurant in the old town in Toruń.

Overnight place: Toruń

After breakfast optional Guided tour of the old town of Toruń/Thorn including a visit to St. Mary's Church (ex. Franciscan monastery) and St. John's Church. After a last look at the old town of Torun, today's stage begins. In the valley of the Vistula you cycle partly on a newly built cycle path, which was built on an old railway embankment, to the Bierzgłowski Castle. In the afternoon we drive through forests and fields to Ostromecko. Check in at Palace Hotel. Afterwards visit of the palace.

Overnight place: Ostromecko/surroundings

In the morning a bike tour along the Vistula to Chelmno/Kulm. optional Lunch break in the Kulm on the Alter Markt in the shadow of the Renaissance town hall, in whose walls the famous Kulmic Elle and Ruthe are immortalized. In the afternoon we continue our bike tour from Kulm to
Grudziądz/Graudenz.
The symbol of the town of Grudziądz are the 26 granaries from the 16th and 17th centuries, which can be seen from the Vistula Bridge. During this period, Poland shipped grain to Gdańsk by water. The Old Town offers an unforgettable view of the river.

Overnight place: Grudziadz

After breakfast short bus transfer to Kwidzyn/Marienwerder. Then we drive along the dyke with a view of the lush fields and individual farmsteads to Biala Gora/Weissenberg, where the Vistula branches off - you follow the right arm, the Nogat, and soon reach Malbork/Marienburg. One of the highlights of this bike tour is definitely the huge castle, once the headquarters of the Teutonic Knights.

Overnight place: Marienburg

After breakfast we visit the castle in Marienburg, the former headquarters of the German
order. Then a short bus ride from Marienburg to the Vistula in Tczew or Kiezmark. In the afternoon from the Vistula to the Green Gate in Gdańsk we follow the course of the Motlawa/Motlawa - a beautiful cycling stage through the land of the Menonites and the Vistula lowlands. Porch houses and the many drainage canals are reminiscent of the legacy of the settlers of the time. Afterwards we reach our hotel in Gdansk by bike.
Check-in at the hotel near the old town and then an optional one-hour stroll through the magnificent Hanseatic city of Gdansk.
