The Vistula is the longest river in Poland and connects important historical cities in Poland such as Krakow, Warsaw and Gdansk. The queen of Polish rivers is a natural river. It forms a landscape that can no longer be found anywhere in Europe. Its course was hardly regulated; You can still see the formation of islands and the washing of the banks. It crosses the entire country from the Beskids in the south to Gdańsk in the north. The Vistula is home to many mammals. Here you can meet the rare otters as well as numerous beavers and muskrats. But the greatest wealth of the river is its birds - here you can meet most species at the same time as well as rare and endangered bird species.

If you want to get to know the world on the Vistula, we offer you an eight-day bike tour from Warsaw to Gdansk along the Vistula. On the way you will visit old and historical places, such as the Gothic Copernicus city of Toruń/Thorn, picturesque towns such as Chełmno/Kulm and Grudziądz/Graudenz and Marienburg, where the huge knights' castle is located. From Thorn to Gdansk, our bike tour takes us not only along the Vistula, but also along the Crusader castles.

Individual arrival to Warsaw. Check-in at a 3* or 4* hotel in the center of Warsaw. At 17:15 p.m. meeting with the Polish tour guide at the start hotel in Warsaw. At 17:30 p.m. walking tour of the Old Town in Warsaw. Dinner in a cozy restaurant in the Old Town in Warsaw.

Overnight place: Warschau

After breakfast, an approximately 1-hour train ride from Warsaw towards Sochaczew. Then in the morning we cycle to Żelazowa Wola to the birthplace of Frederic Chopin (tour). At 12:00 we listen to the Chopin music recital in Żelazowa Wola - about 1 hour.

In the afternoon we cycle through Kampinos NP and continue through beautiful small villages
between two rivers: the Vistula and Bzura. We then reach the town of Wyszogród on the Vistula, where we visit a museum dedicated to the Vistula. Then a transfer to Płock on the Vistula [transfer 40 km].

Overnight place: Vistula

After breakfast, sightseeing in Płock. In the morning, after a transfer from Płock to Włocławek, we cycle along the Vistula towards Thorn/Toruń. On the way we take the ferry on the Vistula in Nieszawa. We end our cycling stages in the most famous spa town in Poland – Ciechocinek, where we visit the graduation towers and spa facilities. Then a short bus transfer to Toruń/Thorn.
Toruń/Thorn has been on the elite UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997. The city owes its inimitable character primarily to the excellently preserved architectural monuments - the Gothic churches, baroque granaries, graceful town houses, many of which have had an unchanged appearance for centuries. Torun is a city where past and present meet and science meets culture. The enchanting old town motivates everyone to take walks in the footsteps of European cultural heritage. In addition to the monuments, Torun is also famous as the birthplace of Nicholas Copernicus. Here we try the famous Thorner gingerbread. Dinner in a cozy restaurant in the old town in Toruń

Overnight place: Torun

After breakfast, a city tour through the old town of Toruń/Thorn including a visit to St. Mary's Church (ex. Franciscan Convent) and St. John's Church and a last look at the old town of Torun, today's stage begins. In the Vistula valley we cycle partly on a newly built cycle path, which was created on an old railway embankment, to Bierzgłowski Castle. In the afternoon we drive through forests and fields to Ostromecko. Check in at the palace hotel. Then visit the palace.

Overnight place: Ostromecko/surroundings

In the morning a bike ride along the Vistula to Chelmno/Kulm. Optional lunch break in Kulm on the Old Market in the shadow of the Renaissance town hall, in whose walls the famous Kulmische Elle and Ruthe are immortalized. In the afternoon we continue our bike tour from Kulm to Grudziądz/Graudenz. The landmark of the city of Grudziądz are the 26 granaries from the 16th and 17th centuries, visible from the Vistula Bridge. During this time, Poland shipped grain to Gdańsk by water. The old town offers an unforgettable view of the river.

Overnight place: Grudziadz

After breakfast, a short bus transfer to Kwidzyn/Marienwerder. We then drive along the dike with a view of the lush fields and individual farms to Biala Gora/Weißenberg, where the Vistula branches off - you follow the right arm, the Nogat, and soon reach Malbork/Marienburg. One of the highlights of this bike tour is definitely the huge castle, once the headquarters of the Teutonic Order of Knights.

Overnight place: Marienburg

After breakfast we visit the castle in Marienburg, the former headquarters of the Teutonic Order. Then a short bus ride from Marienburg to the Vistula in Tczew or Kiezmark. In the afternoon we follow the course of the Vistula to the Green Gate in Gdansk

Motlawa/Motlau – a beautiful cycling stage through the land of the Menonites and the Vistula lowlands. Porch houses and the many drainage canals are a reminder of the legacy of the settlers of the time. We then reach our hotel in Gdansk by bike.

Check-in at the hotel near the old town and then a one-hour city stroll with a guided tour of the magnificent Hanseatic city of Gdansk. Late dinner in the Old Town in Gdansk.
