Day 1 Arrival at Schneverdingen
Individual arrival in Schneverdingen. Delivery of the bike (if booked) and important information for your bike tour.
Day 2 Wilseder Berg
In the small forest settlement, it is worth taking a break in the "Ehrhorn 1" forest adventure center, a restored former heathland farm. From Wilsede it goes through forest and heathland to Niederhaverbeck and from there through the Haverbeeke valley back to Schneverdingen. (approx. 31 km)
Day 3 Lünzen and Fintel water mill
Past the Walter-Peters-Park to Zahrensen. Continue through the valley of the Veerse to the water mill in Lünzen. The mill, which was first mentioned in 1587, ran until the end of the 70s, using steam, diesel and electric motors for the last 70 years. One of the originally two water wheels has been removed and can be visited. In the municipality of Fintel, a tour of the typical Heide village is worthwhile. Way back via Haswede and Osterwede to Schneverdingen (approx. 32 km)
Day 4 From Soltau back to Schneverdingen
The train takes you to Soltau (tickets included, duration approx. 15 minutes). Soltau impresses with a town hall worth seeing and the North German Toy Museum. You can reach the historic site of Wieheholz by bike, where the warlike event of June 28, 1519 is explained to you in a shelter. Through southern Osterheide we continue to Hof Möhr. The heath farm was farmed until 1977. In Wolderdingen there is a church with a long history that was extensively restored in 2000. Through the forest area of the Böhmheide it goes back to the starting point. (approx. 42 km)
Day 5 Through Höpen and Forst
The Aueweg leads through meadows and fields over the Fintau to Wintermoor. The festival site for the heather blossom festival, which takes place annually at the end of August, is located on a hill on the southern edge of the Höpen recreation area. In a show garden designed as a heather circle, you will find 130 different types of heather with around 120.000 plants, so that the variety of blooming heather can be admired throughout the year. (approx. 30km)
