Allgäu lakes rally

Today, Bavaria's fifth largest lake is on the agenda. With a loge view of the surrounding mountains you can cycle comfortably along the Forggensee. You can enjoy the most beautiful mountain view at the Panoramastadel just before the Illasbergsee. Again and again there are beautiful bathing opportunities. The one at Hegratsrieder See is particularly idyllic before you cycle back to the district via Füssen.

Overnight place: Füssen - Weissensee

Impressive and wildly romantic, the Allgäu foothills of the Alps accompany you on the tour. From Weißensee it goes first to Pfronten, from there on farm and forest roads into the Vilstal. Passing the Kälberhofalpe you reach the Tannheimer Tal, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful high valleys in the Northern Alps. A comfortably long descent then leads through the Enge and Ach valleys back to Pfronten and the Weißensee.

On the banks of the Weißensee you cycle first to the Alatsee and along the Faulenbach to Füssen with its fascinating old town. We continue in the footsteps of the Bavarian fairy tale king to Hohenschwangau. Here, Ludwig's most spectacular building, Neuschwanstein Castle, sits enthroned on a rocky outcrop above the valley. Hohenschwangau Castle on the way to the beautifully situated Alpsee will impress you no less.

Overnight place: Füssen - Weissensee

The Allgäu is world famous for its cheese specialties. Today's cycling stage connects five small cheese dairies that still traditionally produce Allgäu Emmental and mountain cheese from regional milk. Of course, a tasting of these culinary specialties should not be missed. The cycle path leads past cow pastures and through farmer's hamlets to Seeg with its rococo church, which is well worth seeing. In addition to culinary delights and culture, there is also a nice bathing spot waiting for you at the Schwaltenweiher.

Overnight place: Füssen - Weissensee

From Weißensee you first cycle to Hopfensee with its castle ruins. The next highlights await you with Hopferau Castle and the Mariahilf pilgrimage church. With a view of Germany's highest castle complex, the castle ruins of Falkenstein, you continue through the Tyrolean Vilstal past the castle ruins of Vilsegg. On the way back you cycle on the Lech cycle path in the direction of Füssen and back to your hotel.
