In picturesque Gottlieben you cross the border and arrive on the Swiss side in the beautiful town of Stein am Rhein. Take your time to visit the Lindwurm Museum. An impressive ride along the High Rhine takes you to Gailingen. A highlight is the Rhine crossing from Diessenhofen to Gailingen with the historic wooden bridge from 1816.

Immerse yourself in the magic of the Munot city of Schaffhausen today. A unique city with medieval facades, magnificent 171 oriels and winding streets. The Rhine cycle path then takes you to the next highlight. Don't miss the impressive natural phenomenon of the Rhine Falls. At 23 meters high and 150 meters wide, it is one of the largest waterfalls in Europe.

The Höri peninsula lies between Stein am Rhein and Bicycleolfzell. Numerous artists such as Otto Dix, Hermann Hesse and Helmuth Macke have given it the name "Artist Landscape". The Hesse Museum in Gaienhofen, the Hermann Hesse House and the Museum Haus Dix pay tribute to the once famous residents. End the day with a stroll through the old town of Bicycleolfzell.

Pass picturesque Sipplingen and the monastery church of Birnau. In Unteruhldingen we recommend a visit to the pile dwelling museum. Meersburg, the city of museums invites you into the Middle Ages with its romantic corners. The sea route takes you through vineyards and fruit trees to Friedrichshafen with the Zeppelin Museum.

Today you reach the Lake Constance metropolis Lindau, the border triangle between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will then reach the cultural stronghold of Bregenz. Stroll through the old town or take the cable car to the 1064 m high Pfänder and enjoy the unique view of Lake Constance. You reach Höchst through the nature reserve of the Rhine delta, the largest freshwater delta in Europe.

You cycle through the Rhine delta to Switzerland. A fantastic view of Lake Constance and the impressive foothills of the Alps accompany you to Konstanz. In the Sea Life Center you dive into the fascinating underwater world and discover the jungle and the rain forest. You can shorten the route by approx. 21 km by taking the train from Romanshorn to Constance (on your own).
