Pure nature
A wonderful cycling tour through die Mecklenburger - Lake District.

Impression of a trip by bicycle
We were very fortunate to do this tour in glorious weather. We were surprised that the terrain is rather hilly.

Very nice tour
The route of the tour is very well planned. You come through areas that you would never have reached otherwise. An improvement: On the route from Neustrelitz to Canow, at least the first part of roads through the terrain should be omitted. The "mountain rating" is not necessary - no gain in terms of view, landscape, etc., otherwise: everything ok

Great vacation and pure nature
It was our first cycling holiday and probably not the last. The tour is great. Many beautiful lakes where you can just jump in with the best weather we had. Beautiful cycle paths, yes ok, sometimes cobblestones, but the great paths outweigh. From time to time across the forest on forest paths, very varied. The route through the national park is a highlight. The tours are the right length, so that you have enough time to stop to swim or go canoeing, which is often offered. There is a lot to see at various locks on the canals. If you like forest, water and ships, this is the place for you. Luggage transport worked very well and the travel documents and description of the route are very well prepared. We had our own bikes with us.

Around Müritz and Plauersee
All accommodations waren good and clean, generous breakfast buffet everywhere and friendly staff. Hotel Lindengarten and Hotel am Fleesensee super nice because you would like to stay longer. First-class cuisine from the Hotel Fackelgarten. Great room in the Hotel Müritzterrasse, unfortunately the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired (dinner) The bear forest is recommended, "four paws" is also a term in Switzerland. We will be happy to book our next cycling holiday with you again and will recommend you to others.

A special experience...
... was this bike tour - 'special' in a multiple/-significant sense... ;-) We are experienced tour and sport cyclists (Alpine crossings, Midwest USA, Rwanda, South Africa, France (Provence, Loire, Atlantic), Spain (Bordeaux-Santiago de Compostela-Cap Finistere)... This tour was the second organized of our lives, so we have a comparison both with (mostly) self-organized tours and with one of (another) Provider organized tour. We rode this tour with our recumbent tandem (without 'e-').The 'particular' challenge here: quite a few sections are absolutely unsuitable for it... (single trails, deep sandy areas, across and Longitudinal roots, steep climbs, cobblestone roads (with thick pebbles...)... The GPS tracks provided are obviously from third party sources: 'AllTrails' and 'Gpsies' (acquired by 'AllTrails' in 2019) The tracks are not very up-to-date, but very usable except for two places. Apart from the elevation profile; that was 'particularly' useless. The answer to a telephone query beforehand: "everything is flat, no inclines..." From my local history class 55 years ago, I knew that that couldn't be true from a purely geological/geological perspective... A correction of the elevation profile using topographic maps showed that but it is 'mobile' with the recumbent tandem (is usually very fast, apart from steep climbs). The printed map material provided, including descriptions of the landscapes and sights, is appropriate and sufficient. However, there is still some room for improvement 'upwards'... The large folding map is great, but not particularly useful when travelling: (1) the route to be traveled is not marked/highlighted... and (2) it is too cumbersome to use during driving. The spiral notebook is useful but incomplete in one 'particular' point; it only shows sections of the route (places, turns, etc.). But if you get lost or if a section is not available or you have to choose a different route yourself because of an unsuitable route (sand, single trail, ... so), you don't have an overview... The hotels waren all class. My wife and I had different ideas about what one or the other liked, so only 'global': We felt 'particularly' comfortable everywhere. Sometimes it was the location, sometimes it was the breakfast, sometimes it was the special friendliness of the hotel staff, sometimes the large swimming pool... We've never had hotels like this on our other tours... (either tent or private pension or pilgrim hostel). And for the first time we had luggage transport. We hadn't read that before... A 'special' service that we gratefully accepted! :-) The landscape is terrific! She reminded me of Wisconsin and Minnesota (USA). So you don't need to 'cross the pond', you can 'experience' that here... A really 'special' and beautiful experience!!! When I got our car in the office parking lot Waren picked up, I asked a member of staff if he had driven the route before. Answer: "No, I'm just a passive driver...". I hinted that the route was partially problematic (at least with a tandem). His reply: he had heard that before... Other cyclists intervened and spoke of 'irresponsible' sections of the route. She waren amazed that we rode this with a recumbent tandem without 'e-assist'. Well, it wasn't that bad after all. Would we go there again? Yes, in any case! But then with our MTB and the single trails etc. 'especially' enjoy it... :-) Would we recommend the tour to others? Yes, in any case; but depending on personal fitness and requirements, we recommend an MTB. Bottom line: The tour was a really 'special' experience that we didn't want to miss and that we will certainly talk about and draw on for a long time to come...

Gladly again
An all round nice tour to get to know the area. Rarely have we seen so many birds: swallows, cranes, storks and even osprey. Navigation with the app worked well, while the written description sometimes differed from the signage. On the route from Röbel to Plau there are some impassable forest paths (narrow, sandy and with roots). You have to be able to drive a bit technically there in order not to lose your balance. Good that we had our own bikes with us. The accommodations waren Everything is good.

Larger city maps
Perhaps even larger city plans can be included.

pleasure cyclist
A great tour, ideal in terms of the length of the stages and the nature is of course great.

Difficult to see route signs
The route description on site would have to be expanded.

If only these drivers weren't always there
We had an additional program with a national park ranger and can recommend this to everyone. The nature observation and hike offered a worthwhile conclusion.

Nice tour with small flaws
On the first day, this trip takes you through the natural park on beautiful paths, unfortunately with only a few views of the lakes. On the 2nd and 3rd day on partly longer "rumble routes" (partly massive root breaks, from which you can see that the building authorities are not taking sufficient care of the cycle path route, and partly over natural and rocky forest paths with transverse water channels ); the route should be checked here, because these sections - where you have to hold your teeth so that they don't fall out of your mouth - are not recommended for cyclists with disc damage or inexperienced cyclists (I cycled according to the GPS data, whether they always match the route in the tour booklet, I don't know). Incidentally, the GPS navigation works very well and saved me from many a wrong turn, which I would have made if I had only driven according to the tour booklet. The luggage transport was very reliable and punctual. The choice of hotel was not always optimal: a hotel where the reception is only manned until 15/16 p.m. and you have to call ahead if you arrive later (the room key is then left in a box in front of the house), and where there are bicycles no secure (locked) parking space and only one battery charging station next to the public footpath is not possible (Ht. Müritz Romantik in Sietow-Dorf). There without a restaurant in the house or in the village (there only a fish restaurant with just 1 meat dish, the next full restaurant is in the neighboring village or - that's my recommendation - on the harbor promenade in Röbel with a larger selection. In Plau, the Hotel Reke was only limited Suitable for cyclists: No secure bike parking facility, only an open, hidden roofing with no secure connection for the bike and no electricity (the battery must be charged in the room). waren in order. But in all (sic!) hotels the staff was very friendly and helpful, even if they told me a little harshly when I arrived in Plau (Ht. Reke) at 14 p.m. that I was only welcome after 15 p.m. Everywhere though waren The rooms are well furnished and big enough as a single room. Unfortunately, the travel documents gave almost no tourist information, but only a very detailed textual description of the route (I'm probably a bit spoiled here by the Bikelinebüchet) and the plans (street names, etc.) are unfortunately only printed in low contrast and can hardly be read by people who wear glasses ). Unfortunately, the format of the booklet is a bit too high and doesn't fit in the map pocket of my Ortlieb handlebar bag (you have to put the booklet sideways, but that makes it difficult to read while driving). Therefore my urgent recommendation: drive according to the GPS data! My conclusion: A nice and worthwhile tour with a few shortcomings that you can live with.

Beautiful tour
We can only recommend this wonderful bike tour through the Mecklenburg Lake District. We had fantastically beautiful weather and although it was around 30 degrees at times, we never really worked up a sweat while cycling. Luggage transport, the choice of hotels, the GPS data, everything was perfect. We Swiss could still learn a lot from you regarding the expansion of cycle paths. One of the highlights was definitely the beginning, the hotel at the Müritz National Park was beautiful (especially the rooms facing the meadow are uniquely beautiful). But also the Wildhof in Neustrelitz and the Gutshof in Ludorf waren Top. Breakfast buffet was excellent everywhere. The last 2 stages waren partly a bit more difficult to ride, but with our e-bikes (own) this was easy to master. We noticed that we didn't see any Swiss tourists, but we will now do some advertising in Switzerland by recommending this tour.

Nice tour with minor defects
Basically a nice tour and a good service from the tour operator. Questions in advance were answered quickly, the free parking on the premises of the "Müritz office" is also very positive to mention, as is the smooth luggage transfer by the employees of the "Mecklenburger Bicycletour". But now to the stages themselves: We let ourselves be guided with the help of the GPS files. That worked well in most cases, but in some cases the files seem to be out of date Reversal and return to the route was called, but the signposted route was ultimately the right one. Some sections of the route require rather rough, wider tires and a little skill when driving these sections is also required. Here, after all, there are paths in the forest with transverse roots or the paths are sandy and additionally peppered with stones. Everything is possible, but this should be pointed out more clearly in the description or the tour can be adjusted. In rainy weather, these sections are not without danger for cyclists. For people who have not been for a long time If you've been cycling, these sections can be a real challenge. We would have liked more information about places of interest, but also places to rest. On some sections, you had to look out for restaurants and sanitary facilities for a long time. Here's a tip, e.g. B. the Babke fishery, which is a bit off the tour, in the magazine - that would be a great addition. The magazine also belongs in the appropriate format - e.g. B. for a map holder on the bike - a general overview of the tour. That would certainly simplify the overview a bit. The hotels reserved for us, waren almost all really great. It was particularly nice in the Heidekrug in Grünplan, in the Strandhotel in Röbel and in the Klüschenberg in Plau am See. The latter saved us with the existing pool and sauna in the extremely bad weather. But the restaurants in the Heidekrug and in the Klüschenberg are really great and deserve a special mention. The staff in the hotels were extremely nice and very helpful everywhere. We can't judge the bikes, we had our own bikes with us.
