The Zugspitze, at 2.962 m the highest mountain in Germany, is one of the most famous mountain destinations in the Alps and can be easily climbed by cable car. During your hiking week you will walk around the Zugspitze, get to know all the views and also head to wonderful hiking destinations. Crossing the gorges, which are very impressive with their water masses and heights, is adventurous and sensational.

Overnight place: Garmisch/environment
You start your hiking day in a wildly romantic way through the Partnach Gorge, where the water masses of the Wetterstein Mountains meet. Your path then leads over gentle hills and alpine meadows to Klais or Mittenwald.
640 m ascent - 430 m descent
Overnight place: Mittenwald/Klais
The paths through the gorge were carved directly into the rock with great precision and bold footbridges run up to 40 meters above the water. Afterwards, take a relaxed walk along the Leutascher Ache into the valley. You hike past small towns and flower meadows surrounded by the Wetterstein Mountains into the widening Leutaschtal.
220 m ascent - 30 m descent
Overnight place: Leutash
Today you can relax or go on a hike to the most beautiful places in the area. Hike on the Way of St. James to the panoramic view at the Ropferstubn or climb to the viewing box at the Brunschkopf. Take a leisurely stroll around the Weidachsee or up to the rustic Wildmoosalm.
350 m ascent - 350 m descent
Overnight place: Like Leutasch the day before
Short bus ride (excl.) to the Gaistal. The alpine summer in the Gaistal is a dream, especially for the Haflinger cattle, the brown and gray cattle and the Scottish Galloway cattle. You follow the Ganghofer Weg into the alpine landscapes and up to the transition to the Ehrwalder Alm. A backdrop that is perfect for a hometownilm Ordered and once a retreat for the Bavarian writer Ludwig Ganghofer. The cable car (included) takes you down to the valley and on to Ehrwald.
440 m ascent - 290 m descent
Overnight place: Ehrwald
Little by little you hike up to the foothills of the Zugspitze and the famous Eibsee view. The tour ends at the lovely Eibsee with a view of the magnificent Zugspitz-Garmisch panorama. Take the Zugspitzbahn back to Garmisch.
