Wanderschuhe am Eibsee

Wanderkarte Rund um die ZugspitzeIndividual arrival on your own initiative.

Overnight place: Garmisch/environment

You start your hiking day in a wildly romantic way through the Partnach Gorge, where the water masses of the Wetterstein Mountains meet. Your path then leads over gentle hills and alpine meadows to Klais or Mittenwald.

640 m ascent - 430 m descent

Overnight place: Mittenwald/Klais

The paths through the gorge were carved directly into the rock with great precision and bold footbridges run up to 40 meters above the water. Afterwards, take a relaxed walk along the Leutascher Ache into the valley. You hike past small towns and flower meadows surrounded by the Wetterstein Mountains into the widening Leutaschtal.

220 m ascent - 30 m descent

Overnight place: Leutash

Today you can relax or go on a hike to the most beautiful places in the area. Hike on the Way of St. James to the panoramic view at the Ropferstubn or climb to the viewing box at the Brunschkopf. Take a leisurely stroll around the Weidachsee or up to the rustic Wildmoosalm.

 350 m ascent - 350 m descent

Overnight place: Like Leutasch the day before

Short bus ride (excl.) to the Gaistal. The alpine summer in the Gaistal is a dream, especially for the Haflinger cattle, the brown and gray cattle and the Scottish Galloway cattle. You follow the Ganghofer Weg into the alpine landscapes and up to the transition to the Ehrwalder Alm. A backdrop that is perfect for a hometownilm Ordered and once a retreat for the Bavarian writer Ludwig Ganghofer. The cable car (included) takes you down to the valley and on to Ehrwald.

440 m ascent - 290 m descent

Overnight place: Ehrwald

Little by little you hike up to the foothills of the Zugspitze and the famous Eibsee view. The tour ends at the lovely Eibsee with a view of the magnificent Zugspitz-Garmisch panorama. Take the Zugspitzbahn back to Garmisch.

540 m ascent - 510 m descent

Around the Zugspitze

We hiked around the Zugspitze in September 2020 and it was fantastic, the hiking trails are suitable for all ages, the length of the stages was well chosen, the hotels were all very good to excellent and the view was indescribable. The luggage transport worked great, but we have come to expect that from our bike tours with Mecklenburger Radtour used to and are already looking forward to the next adventure.
