You cycle from the Müritz through the area of the Upper Lakes to the island town of Malchow, Klink, the fishing port in Sietow and the holiday resort "Land Fleesensee" are stops on this eventful stage.

Alt Schwerin offers a lot of interesting things from Mecklenburg's agricultural history. The picturesque old town of Plau has developed to the left and right of the Elde river.

Today you leave the Upper Lakes area. The gently undulating river landscape of the Elde is cycled through on the tour. The extensive Nossentiner-Schwinzer Heide nature park begins at Lake Goldberger. It continues through a turbulent moraine landscape, then the towers of the old residential town of Güstrow rise. The work of the sculptor Ernst Barlach is closely connected with Güstrow. A visit to the Renaissance castle can round off this day.

Fritz Reuter, the most popular Low German poet, is the son of the Reuter town of Stavenhagen. In the Literature Museum you will find many interesting facts about his life and works.

The oldest oak trees in Central Europe can be explored in the Ivenacker zoo. In the valley of the Tollense you cycle towards Neubrandenburg, the largest city in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The medieval city fortifications are a popular photo motif.

The Tollensesee stretches south of Neubrandenburg. The circular route around the lake is very well developed and offers a varied cycling experience. You will encounter traces of the very popular Prussian Queen Luise on the route to Neustrelitz in Hohenzieritz.

The last stage takes you through the Müritz National Park. This extensive forest and lake area on the east bank of the Müritz is a retreat for many endangered animal and plant species, such as white-tailed eagles.
