Overnight place: Wismar

A trip to the island of Poel? No problem, because this island is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Shortly before Kühlungsborn you pass through Basdorf. Climb the lighthouse and enjoy the breathtaking view over the Baltic Sea. If visibility is good, you can even see the island of Fehmarn.

Overnight place: Rerik, Kühlungsborn, Bad Doberan or the surrounding area

The highlight of today's stage are Heiligendamm, the oldest German seaside resort and the Doberan Cathedral. In terms of landscape, the ghost forest on the steep bank of Nienhagen is a special experience.

Overnight place: Warnemünde or Rostock

With the Warnow ferry (incl.) to Hohe Düne. If you want to learn everything about amber, then a visit to the Amber Museum in Ribnitz-Damgarten is worthwhile. There is a beekeeping show nearby, where everything revolves around honey. When you have seen all this, cycle back to the Baltic Sea to your hotel on the Fischland or stay in the booked hotel in Ribnitz-Damgarten.

Overnight place: Ribnitz-Damgarten/Graal-Müritz or on the Fischland

Experience the fascination of the Baltic Sea. You cross a part of the national park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft.

MEC-02 from 27.09. - 02.10.

Dear Sir or Madam, we waren very satisfied. Everything has, despite the restrictions wg. Corona, worked out well. Thank you very much. Wilma and Hans-Georg Panzer

surprise

The tour showed us many different faces of the Baltic Sea coast. Enchanting old 'Hanse' towns and thriving seaside resorts.
- Max & Christine Faber

Trip from 07.07.-14.07.2016 Lübeck - Stralsund

For the first day starting in Lübeck, I found the tour to Wismar with km 79 too much. Alternatively, we were told that you could also take the train to Travemünde. Why doesn't the trip start right away in Travemünde, because that's where the Baltic Sea Cycle Path begins. The train ride to Travemünde cost extra. It was also a pity that the accommodation was not in Warnemünde, so there was another 30 km there and back. The time could have been spent well in Warnemünde. The bike lanes waren not always easy to find, the signs were sometimes on the opposite side. It is also a pity that although it is called the Baltic Sea Cycle Path, the Baltic Sea cannot often be seen from the cycle path. The map material was very extensive and the bike paths were described in detail, but who reads the description while driving and you don't want to stop all the time.
- Gisela Greve

Super tour

After 8 years we did this beautiful tour again and waren excited again. Some bike paths have been improved and this time we had a great summer week.
- Bernd Bicycleman

Super relaxing active holiday

we waren from July 12.7.2010th, 17.7.2010 to July XNUMXth, XNUMX with very good rental bikes. The beginning was very hilly but manageable for everyone with normal fitness. In addition to a new view of cyclists on land and water, you met like-minded holidaymakers on the way and also in the well-chosen hotels, who didn't just want to lie on the beach all day, although we did that for a few hours every day. Stop at a fisherman or a small on the outskirts hospitality make us want more holidays of this kind.
- Margrit and Günter Luther

A hot journey

from Lübeck to stralsund - at 36 degrees. hot...but nice. everything went well, a minor breakdown could be repaired by yourself. a small bicycle handlebar bag would be great, so that you have your travel documents more readily available and can also take a look while driving.
- stralsund at night

Nice tour

We were still missing this last part of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route. Shortening the alternatives to the first day with a distance of around 80 km from Lübeck to Wismar by train or ferry did not convince us that much. We then alternatively drove the route from Lübeck via Schlutup - Dassow - Klein Voigtshagen - Rankendorf - Klütz - Ostseebad Boltenhagen (70 km). The journey from Warnemünde to Rostock along the city autobahn with all the entrances and exits takes some getting used to. Here we started the tour with the ship the next day. Otherwise waren we are very satisfied with the route, the accommodation and the documents received. Also the return transport from Stralsund to Lübeck with our own bikes worked perfectly.

Baltic Sea Cycle Path LübeckStralsund

Dear team from the Mecklenburger Bicycletour, we are very excited about the track. It was particularly great that our bikes were transported from Wismar to Kuehlungsborn on a sick day and we were then able to continue our holiday again. Many thanks to the friendly transporter!!! With the hotels waren we are often more than satisfied, and the travel documents waren perfect. The wheels waren new, easy to ride and set up right from the start. With your help it was an absolutely successful holiday and we are happy to recommend you to others. Kind regards, Gabriele Ritter
- Knight, Gabrielle

with Mecklenburger Bicycletour - but of course

tough start to the tour, but good alternatives are offered, too many kilometers to be driven, very luxurious accommodation, breakfast is always great, a wonderful bike tour, even if the weather didn't play along the first few days
- Schutte

Baltic Coast - scenic bike ride, great hotels

A very nice bike tour, well prepared and perfectly executed. The stages between Kuehlungsborn and Fischland are too short, something could be rescheduled. However, the landscape is great, the choice of hotels cannot be faulted. Best hotels with flair and often in a central inner-city location.
- Gunther, Ulrich

Great tour

Dear employees of Mecklenburger Bicycletouren, The journey from Lübeck to Stralsund was very nice and well organized. You really can't get lost with the travel documents that you provide. The selected hotels waren very good, but "Am alten Hafen", Wismar, fell short compared to the other hotels. Mini room as a double room and the breakfast was also worse than at the other hotels. Therefore, there is some bias in the hotel rating.
-Wolfgang Reinl

fantastic bike trip

This is the first time we have undertaken such a bike tour and waren total hyped! Despite mixed weather forecasts with some storm warnings, we stayed safe and mostly dry in September and were often able to enjoy the beautiful landscape in the sunshine. The hotels waren well selected, centrally located and the luggage transport worked smoothly. Gladly again...
- Rainer Fritsch

Beautiful bike trip

With a brisk northeast wind - always from the front! - and with beautiful, sunny weather, we four women from Switzerland have the well-organized bike tour from Lübeck to Stralsund really enjoyed. The fact that the four bikes were not ready at our starting point in Lübeck as agreed did not bother us in any way. From Travemünde we continued through the beautiful Baltic Sea landscape without any breakdown Stralsund. An instruction manual for the e-bike would have been helpful!
- Rosemary Schmocker

Wonderful bike tour, great weather, daily bathing opportunities, lots of nature, but also nice cities

Generally very good hotels. The most beautiful and cozy was the Warnemünder Hof. The hotel in Stralsund was central and yet quiet and we had a room with a view of the old town panorama. Unfortunately, the hotel in Kühlungsborn was a construction site and therefore had no atmosphere. The back was in scaffolding, no view of a garden. Breakfast was always fabulous. Wheels perfect. Also the support: we lost our cell phone and wallet on the way, they found it again, handed it over to a spa administration and brought us back through the luggage transport within 2 days. As a suggestion: I would like to go on a bike tour with more typical, smaller accommodation, for example with a thatched roof or family hotels/guesthouses with flair as an additional booking option. The Baltic Sea cycle path was by far my most beautiful cycle tour so far!
- Raith Hannelore

As always great

I have been driving or hiking with the for several years Mecklenburger Bicycletour. Everything has always worked out perfectly. This year, the short-term rebooking due to my corona vaccination was also mastered excellently. A big thank you for that!!! I was still missing this part of the Baltic Coast Cycle Path. I was incredibly lucky with the weather in June. The corona restrictions were limited. At the Lübeck hotel, the check-in time was more than accommodating. This time I didn't have a single hotel (always book 3 stars) where I thought "let's get out of here", accommodation requests could be taken into account, the bike was fine. A very nice, varied and easy to drive tour, good directions. Only in the Wismar detour there was no signage, which was made up for by nice, helpful Wismerans. Also next year I will book my vacation with MRT.

Baltic Coast Cycle Path Lübeck Stralsund

Super tour in the best weather The bike path is well signposted, even if it doesn't always match the description given. I found it a bit strange that there was no personal instruction (e-bike). Supposedly because of Corona but outdoors with a mask that would certainly have been possible. accommodations waren OK. Lübeck the Bicycledisson blue unfortunately the only one on the trip where the pool is closed but otherwise a nice hotel with a great location I felt most comfortable in the Hotel IFA Graal-Müritz. Nice room with balcony and the pool inside is worth seeing The hotel in Stralsund "Baltic" is by no means a 4 star hotel. Rooms badly in need of renovation. On the whole satisfied with the organization and also with the luggage transfer (it would be nicer if you had to leave the luggage at the reception a little later, 9 a.m. is very early)

Wrong turn taken

You are a great team, we had a lot of luggage with us, very helpful. From Barth look again at the signs, there is another cycle path that we accidentally took, but that was wrong.

class tour

Return transport worked great. Very careful with luggage and wheels.

From our point of view there is nothing to improve. The accommodation was varied and interesting, as was the whole trip.

Travel from Lübeck to in September Stralsund

Dear employees, we finished our beautiful bike ride a few days ago. As in previous reviews, waren we are also generally satisfied with everything. We found the travel documents good but not that practical. The descriptions of how to get to the hotel waren sometimes awkward. The accommodation in Dierhagen /Dändorf didn't work at all. This pension (standard 70 years) has nothing to do with a 2-3 star character. This raises the question of whether you should take a look at the accommodations on site. We booked in February (!) to be on the safe side, always in 1st category hotels. to be accommodated. Unfortunately, that was not the case in Dändorf. All other hotels waren good to very good. Unfortunately, two of them were very far away. GuS Krause
- G Krause

Fantastic Baltic Sea

This year we tackled the missing route on the Baltic Sea with our own bikes. In order to have a little more time for the individual cities, we have in Lübeck, Wismar, Warnemünde and Stralsund Additional nights booked. I think that was a good decision about the beauty of Wismar and Stralsund to enjoy. Except for the Ostseehotel in Dierhagen (we booked the upper category II), which had the character of a youth hostel, waren we totally satisfied with the choice of individual accommodations. We found it particularly good that an organized return transport to Lübeck was offered. Because with bikes and luggage it would have been quite difficult to take the train.
- Sonja Buechel

Baltic happiness

An impressive, varied experience of nature in constant, physical movement between heaven, earth and water - with the certainty of arriving safely in a friendly, atmospheric home in the evening, with a very individualistic profile. I was also able to get to know a lot about the country and people; the time was too short with; I'll be back!
- Petra von Eynern

Baltic Sea from Lübeck to Stralsund

Thanks for the well-organized tour, everything worked great with the rental bikes and luggage transport. Great, varied routes, mostly away from traffic. The hotels waren well selected, we felt comfortable everywhere. Only the Bicycle-Keller in Rostock was difficult to reach, but that's complaining at a high level. We really liked it, we will be happy to recommend you
- Ch. Gruber

Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Path LübeckStralsund August 2023

We really enjoyed the tour so far. All services worked perfectly. Only the Fromstecher from Travemünde to Rostock (where to stay overnight) attracted negative attention due to the unattractive cycle path (maybe left out in the future).
