Day 1: Arrival in Bad Tölz

Arrive on your own. Explore the well-known Bavarian small town on a walk and marvel at the richly decorated town houses in one of the numerous street cafés.

Day 2: Bad Tölz - Bad Wiessee, approx. 18 km / 5 hours

The day starts with a short train ride to Lenggries. From there you hike on the Vis Alpina long-distance hiking trail over the Hirschtalsattel under the rocky outcrops of the Fockenstein to the Aueralm. Treat yourself to a break here with Bavarian alpine specialties before heading through forest and meadows with a wonderful view of Lake Tegernsee to Bad Wiessee.

Day 3: Circular hike to the Riederstein, approx. 9 km / 3,5-5 hours

Today you hike on scenic mountain trails to the Galaun mountain inn. Continue to the small mountain chapel on the rock pulpit of the Riederstein, from where you have a fabulous view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Enjoy a cool drink in the Tegernseer Bräustüberl before taking the Tegernsee boat trip back to Bad Wiessee.

Day 4: Bad Wiessee - Schliersee, approx. 12 km / 4-4,5 h

From Tegernsee you can reach the alpine meadows around the well-known alpine beer garden Neureuth via a forest path. Take a break here and enjoy the lake view. Then you hike relaxed to the Gindelalm and along forest and forest paths down to the shore of the Schliersee.

Day 5: Circular hike to Spitzingsee, approx. 13 km / 3-4 hours

Today's stage takes you along the lakeside adventure trail to Fischhausen. You hike first to the Spitzingsattel. On the way there you will find numerous information stations about the former forest railway. Shortly afterwards you reach the picturesque Spitzingsee. You walk around this natural idyll and then take the bus back to Schliersee.

Day 6: Schliersee - Bayrischzell, approx. 15 km / 5 hours

Take the cable car to the Taubenstein mountain station. Hike on a Höhnweg with fantastic views to the Rotwandhaus, where you can climb the summit of the Rotwand. You then get to the idyllically situated Soinsee via the Großtiefentaler Kessel and further along from Almen to Bayrischzell.

Day 7: Circular hike to the Wendelstein, approx. 5 km / 4-5 hours

Today the König-Maximilian-Weg takes you to the Wendelstein Alm. Walk past a waterfall to the summit and discover the impressive weather observatory. A panoramic circular hiking trail takes you to the Wendelstein Cave with its accessible underground passages. After a snack in the panoramic beer garden, you drive down into the valley and hike back to Bayrischzell.

Day 8: Departure from Bayrischzell

After breakfast departure on your own.
