From the cosmopolitan city of Berlin with its extensive forests in the north, you first travel on the Oder-Havel Canal via Oranienburg and Eberswalde to Schwedt. The calm and unique beauty of the Oder landscape accompanies you to the Polish city of Szczecin with its magnificent castle. Your path then takes you along the unique Bodden coast Usedom to the largest island in Germany Rügen, with its famous chalk cliff. The destination and end point of your trip is the old Hanseatic city Stralsund.

The well-developed cycle path leads north through the Ruppin Lake District to Oranienburg. Worth seeing: the baroque castle with park, museum and orangery. Here you go back on board and drive to Eberswalde. In the heart of the city, in the Finow Canal, is the oldest operational lock in Germany, which has been a technical monument since 1978.
Overnight place: Eberswalde
First on the towing cycle path along the Finow Canal through beautiful countryside, past forests, clearings and small hills in the direction of Niederfinow (ship lift - a visit is possible at any time) to Hohensaaten. There return on board and boat trip to Schwedt. If you like, you can continue cycling from Hohensaaten to Schwedt (+approx. 32 km).

Today you drive a bit through the unique cross-border protected area "Internationalpark Unteres Odertal" to Mescherin, where you go back on board. Afterwards a boat trip to Szczecin, the green city at the mouth of the Oder and one of the largest ports on the Baltic Sea. Worth seeing: the castle of the Dukes of Pomerania in the old town.
Overnight place: Stettin
Today you will spend the whole day on board. After a final narrow passage, the ship arrives on the extensive water surface of the Szczecin Lagoon (Oderhaff). After crossing you will reach Wolgast, the "gateway to the island". Usedom". The medieval old town with the town hall and St. Peter's Church is definitely worth seeing.

In the morning you cycle via Zecherin, Karlshagen-Hafen to Peenemünde (Tip: Historical-Technical Museum in the former power plant). When the weather is nice, the slightly longer "beach route" via Zinnowitz and Trassenheide is also worthwhile. In Peenemünde you go back on board. Around 18:00 p.m., boat trip to Lauterbach in the south-east of the island Rügen (Arrival around 21:00).

You should not miss a visit to the nearby town of Putbus (approx. 2 km) with its well-known "circus". Classicist buildings line this circular square, where all the streets converge. Today's bike tour takes you via Putbus, Garz, Groß Schoritz, birthplace of Ernst Moritz Arndt, Poseritz and Gustow with the well-known village church over the Rügendam after Stralsund, where you will meet your ship again. On a walk through the historic old town of the Hanseatic city, which is located on a small island, you will repeatedly come across extraordinary sights.
