On the traces of the former Berlin Wall, this cycle tour offers fascinating impressions. Always following the former wall, you continue cycling at the Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie and then to Kreuzberg. From here south to Neukölln. Along the Havel via Babelsberg to Potsdam and then following the northern course to Oranienburg.

You will travel to Oranienburg on your own. A direct S-Bahn connection leads to Berlin Mitte.
Overnight place: Oranienburg
Through the Tegeler Fliess nature reserve, you follow the course of the wall along the Reinickendorf city limits to Pankow and Wedding. The tour continues to the former Invalidenstraße border crossing. On the Kronprinzenbrücke, the path leads over the Spree to the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate.
Overnight place: Berlin center
At the Brandenburg Gate, the route leads along the former course of the Wall to Potsdamer Platz and on to the former Checkpoint Charlie border crossing with the border museum in Kreuzberg. The East Side Gallery begins at the Ostbahnhof, a piece of wall strip painted by artists. Before continuing your journey, you should make a detour to the Soviet memorial in Treptower Park. You cycle on the route of the former main railway, the first railway in Prussia. Further on you pass the former Dreilinden checkpoint and take the Königsweg through the Berlin Forest to Babelsberg and Potsdam. Use the afternoon to visit Sanssouci Palace.
Overnight place: Potsdam
Cycle through the landscape of hills, parks and lakes designed by Lenné and Schinkel, past the Glienicke Bridge and then by ferry (on your own) across the Havel to Kladow. You follow the former border through the Groß Glienicker Heide to Staaken. From Staaken your path leads through the Spandau Forest to Nieder Neuendorf and Hennigsdorf. You leave the Wall Cycle Path and follow the cycle path Berlin - Copenhagen to Oranienburg. Individual departure from Oranienburg or extension.
