Bornholm is not called the "Sunshine Island" for nothing.
Individual arrival to Rügen to the Sassnitz/Mukran ferry port. You go as a pedestrian with your luggage on the ferry. After approx. 3,5 hours ferry ride (incl.) you reach Bornholm's capital Rønne. Baggage collection and tour information by our guest advisor at the ferry.
Overnight stay: Rønne
Today you hike the first section of the west coast. Through the plantations, a wooded area between Rønne and Hasle, you walk on shady paths to Skovly. Here you can also hike along the beach to Hasle. The cliffs begin right behind Hasle, culminating in the rocks around Jons Kappel. Continue via Vang or by bus (incl.)/ 8km to Allinge.
Accommodation location: Allinge/Sandkas or surrounding area
From Allinge you can walk to the beach in Sandvig and walk around Hammeren on what is perhaps one of the most beautiful hiking trails on the island. Passing the lighthouse, it goes up and down along the coast to Hammerhavn. Here you climb up to the castle ruins of Hammershus. Back past Hammersø to Allinge.
Overnight accommodation: as on the previous day, Allinge/Sandkas or surrounding area
The route from Allinge to Gudhjem and Svaneke takes you along the most beautiful coastline on the island. On the way you will pass Bornholm's art museum.
The permanent exhibition shows paintings from the island of Bornholm. Nearby are the Helligsdom cliffs which you should definitely visit. From Gudhjem you can continue by bus (incl.) - 10 km to Svaneke or Balka.
Place to stay: Svaneke, Balka or Nexø
Not far from Svaneke begin the Paradisbakkerne (Paradise Hills). The bus takes you (incl.) there. You hike through a forest landscape that is actually typical of northern Scandinavia. You can hike back to either Nexø or Svaneke via the Paradisbakkerne. From Nexø by bus (incl.) to Svaneke.
Overnight accommodation: as on the previous day, Svaneke, Balka or Nexø
With the bus (incl.) straight to Almindingen, Bornholm's largest forest area.
You hike first to the Rytterknaegten lookout tower, Bornholm's highest point at 162 m. Then on to Ekkodalen (Echotal) and on to Aakirkeby, where you have the opportunity to visit the Bornholm Nature Museum. Then continue by bus (incl.) to Rønne.
Overnight stay: Rønne
Depending on the departure time of the ferry (see ferry ticket), your ferry crossing (incl.) takes place from Rønne to Mukran. From there you travel home on your own. We would also be happy to book additional nights for you.
