If you want to explore the Havel from a quarter in the middle of Brandenburg, the small town with demssame name exactly right. The city has charm and what could be nicer, the river and many lakes offer an ideal backdrop for wonderful tours in the city's surroundings. So there is the possibility to cycle one way to Potsdam, on your own the train offers the possibility of returning. In the south of the city as well as in the west it goes across the country through the Havel lake area. Continue following the Havel to Rathenow and you can return by train on your own.

Today's tour takes you south past the Rietzer See, which you circle in a wide arc today to the community of Kloster Lehnin. The monastery or the part that is public can be visited and when the museum is open, you can learn a lot about the eventful history of the monastery and the place. There are also bathing opportunities at the Gohlitzsee.

Today it's a wonderful tour on kilometers of cycle paths through the nature of the middle Havel in the direction of Potsdam. On this day tour, the river is always the theme, as is some of the bathing spots. The destination is Sanssouci Park and the city of Potsdam with its sights.

The Havel lakes are right outside the city gates. Again there are opportunities to go swimming in the lake after the first 10 km. The journey usually goes along the lake shore
around the Breitling See, the Möserschen See on tranquil paths via the Elbe-Havel Canal to the Plauer See and back to Brandenburg.

Today's destination is the town of Rathenow, which hosted the BUGA in 2018.
From the city across the country you follow the Havel and in parts the Havelradweg to Rathenow. Time for the city and its BUGA park that invites you to linger. Take your time to explore the old town island of Rathenow. If you want, you can cycle the return trip on a different route or take the train back to Brandenburg on your own.
