The cycling stage runs at the foot of the idyllic vineyards of the Kaiserstuhl. The destination is the medieval half-timbered town of Endingen or alternatively the traditional wine-growing community of Malterdingen.
Overnight place: Endingen or Malterdingen
Through the wine town of Sasbach you come to the banks of the Rhine. You cycle through the green Rhine meadows, partly on the embankment of the Rhine, in the direction of Rust. The small town has become known through the Europapark (amusement park) with many attractions.
Overnight place: Rust or Ringsheim
Today you cycle again through the river meadows of the Rhine. The picturesque backdrop of the northern Black Forest accompanies you to your right. The beautiful Alsace metropolis of Strasbourg with its attractive old town is the highlight of the day.
Overnight place: Strasburg
You can use the morning to visit the sights of Strasbourg. The cycle tour takes you along the Euro Cycle Path to Molsheim, the hometown of the famous Bugatti auto dynasty. Your route along the Alsatian Wine Route starts here.
Overnight place: Obernai
Continue south on the Route du Vin. On the attractive route through the lush vineyards, you will pass pretty Alsace villages with colorful half-timbered houses. Via Dambach-la-Ville you reach St. Hippolyte, which lies at the foot of the famous, majestic Haut-Koenigsbourg.
Overnight place: St. Hippolyte
On this stage, the romantic towns invite you to stroll through the medieval streets. Finally you reach Colmar. Discover the most beautiful half-timbered houses in the Gerbergasse. In the Unterlinden Museum you can admire the art and history of the region.
Overnight place: Colmar or in neighboring Eguisheim
Day 8: Colmar/Equisheim – Freiburg, about 60 km
You cycle through the Rhine plain via Breisach back to Freiburg. Enjoy your last evening in one of the numerous wine and snack bars
