Overnight place: Palma de Mallorca
From Placa d'Espanya you go to the sea and follow the coastal cycle path to Playa de Palma. We continue near the coast to Capocorp Vell, the kingdom of the Cyclops (remains of the native inhabitants). Typical wind turbines then line your way to the salt fields of Llevant with the shimmering pink and white salt lakes. Before you reach your overnight destination, the almost white sandy beach “Es Trenc”, which is considered the most beautiful in Mallorca, entices you to take a break or even cool off in the deep blue sea.
Overnight place: Colonia Sant Jordi
Once again you will be amazed by the coastal landscape in the picturesque bay near Cala Santanyi and the famous natural bridge “Es Pontas”. It then becomes quieter on the way inland. The low stone walls that border the fields are omnipresent. The gnarled olive trees have stood in the meadows for centuries and are guarded by many a stately finca.
Overnight place: Porreres
Nowhere else in the world are there so many windmills in such a small area as on Mallorca. In the past, they were an important part of agriculture on the island. They had different functions, either for grinding grain or for pumping water into the fields. On today's stage, you will pass some particularly beautiful examples.
Overnight place: Porreres
Beautiful paths through olive groves lead you via Sant Joan to Petra. Here, a typical “Mallorcan lunchtime snack” is prepared for you in a restaurant on the beautiful village square. You cycle through one of the most enchanting landscapes on the island, the “Pla”, to charming Santa Margalida and further to the coast. It's not far along Playa del Muro until you reach your hotel in Alcudia. Enjoy the flair of the medieval city while strolling through the narrow streets.
Overnight place: Alcudia
Accompanied by almond trees, you cycle along the Tramuntana World Heritage Site to the “leather town” of Inca. From here the transfer bus takes you to the Lluc monastery (visit possible) and further up to 1200 m above sea level. The descent by bike leads to one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, Fornalutx. There you can enjoy an excellent paella menu in a cozy terrace restaurant. We then continue down through orange and lemon plantations to Port de Sóller, one of the most attractive fishing villages on the island.
Overnight place: Port de Soller
Breathtaking views over the sea once again open up the last cycling stage. Past the picturesque villages of Deia and Valldemossa, we head along the rugged west coast with its fascinating landscape towards Palma. Stroll along wide boulevards, discover narrow streets and marvel at wide squares. The island capital is as diverse as the entire trip.
