On their own. With its location, Rostock is the ideal starting point for your cycle tour through the Danish islands of Falster and Zealand to Copenhagen.

Overnight place: Rostock

In the course of the morning you cycle to the seaport of Rostock on your own. With the Scandlines ferry (incl.) you cross over to Gedser on Falster. Your crossing takes about 2 hours. Then you cycle via Marielyst to Nykøbing. On the way to Nykøbing, artisans, small galleries or small museums invite you to linger.

Overnight place: Nykøbing

You cycle along the Guldborg Sound up to the island of Zealand. Naestved, one of the oldest cities in the country. Take a trip to Gavnø Castle. On Gavnø you can experience history, art and nature. The castle park is home to more than 1/2 million flower bulbs, a rose garden and many rare species of plants and trees.
In the vicinity of Næstved, Bonbon Land and a glassworks look forward to your visit.

Today your journey continues northwest through the Great Belt countryside. Beautiful beaches and dune landscapes characterize the picture around the holiday and fishing village of Karrebæksminde. You can experience wonderful atmospheres with bathing life, campsites, restaurants and cafés here. The Fisheries and Town Museum takes you through the history of the place. The journey then continues inland to your next stop inland.

Overnight place: Sorø or Ringsted

Today you cycle to the coasts and fjords at Roskilde. First to the Iselfjord and then on to the Roskildefjord. Roskilde Cathedral is the burial place of many Danish kings. In the footsteps of the Vikings, you can row and sail across the fjord from the harbor in replicas of the old Viking ships.

Your last stage takes you back to the Danish capital by a short route. Perhaps you would like to review your Great Zealand tour in a cozy café in Copenhagen in the afternoon with Wienerbröd and a cup of coffee.

First of all: You should have a certain level of basic fitness. The routes are also quite demanding in places, because of the climbs and gravel/gravel-sand paths!! It's difficult to do anything, even without an e-bike! Think about water supplies. However, it is certainly an advantage that you also enjoy cycling in everyday life - and that you undertake this journey with a bike that is familiar with technology. We would do the tour again at any time, as the landscape is really beautiful and yes, the Danes are really very approachable and friendly. The luggage transfer is a nice thing and the hotels waren also very good.
