You can experience Mediterranean flair in the three-river city of Passau. On your arrival day, be sure to plan some time for a stroll through the picturesque, baroque old town with narrow streets and the Passau Cathedral familiar with the largest church organ of the world. After embarkation between 16:00 and 17:00, cast off and your cycling holiday begins with a romantic boat trip into the sunset – with a view of the slowly disappearing Passau backdrop of church towers and domes.

How does the densely overgrown forest floor smell, how does the freshly mown meadow smell? You can cycle right in the middle of it all on the former Towpath, past tranquil villages through the original Landscape of the upper Danube valley. Small, rustic pubs along the way invite you to linger, the scent of freshly grilled fish on a stick. From the Schlögener View Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Natural spectacle of the Danube Loop.

Get a breath of fresh country air again - at noon you will reach Upper Austria's provincial capital, Linz. Take the bright yellow slow train (optional) on a tour of discovery through Europe's Capital of Culture 2009. The cathedral is the largest church in Austria, the Pöstlingbergbahn is the steepest adhesion railway in the world. Curious about the future? In the "ARS Electronica Museum" you can try out impressive examples of modern technologies for yourself. Don't miss it!

Immediately outside the gates of Vienna, the Dome of Klosterneuburg Abbey; which you can explore on a guided tour (optional); the “Verdun Altar” is one of the highlights of medieval goldsmithing. During one City tour by bike or individually with the HOP-ON-HOP-OFF bus (optional) the sights are within reach. Spend the evening with a Waltz and operetta concert in Schönbrunn fade out (optional).

An unforgettable day in the picturesque Wachau! Cycle through small Wine villages surrounded by vineyards and apricot trees. The dreamy Town of Dürnstein with its narrow streets is a special highlight, in Spitz attract cozy wine tavern (wine tasting optional) directly on the cycle path and the impressive Benedictine Abbey Melk is one of the most beautiful baroque ensembles Europe.

A beautiful and varied route with impressions in all facets lies before you! From the medieval Town of Grein (oldest city theatre in Austria, visit optional) cycle through the idyllic hinterland of the Strudengau, With a little luck, the lord of the castle himself will guide you through the romantic Clam Castle led and companies in Celtic village Mitterkirchen a journey into prehistory. The Mauthausen Concentration Camp Memorial is located on a hill near the city.

A wonderful trip with our friends

Everything was very well organized. Food varied, clean cabin, attentive service, nice music and all-round support from the tour guide. The billing of the drinks was clear and correct. The route selection for the bike tours was good. Our ECO cabin was very small and noisy when the ship was moving - we will refer to a better cabin for future trips. Summary: The trip will stay in our best memory.

Our best trip by bike and boat so far

Ordering the trip went smoothly and was easy. Parking by car and shuttle service flawless. We only saw our luggage again in our cabin. We had booked a medium price range in the middle of the ship. No engine noises, the ship and the cabins are very clean. The food is simply great. Quality and not quantity. Varied, super decorated and top quality. The bike route was very well put together. The tour guide provided us with extensive information. The app on the phone then repeated everything again. And if you can read it's even more fun. The service on board was excellent. 30 crew and 140 passengers simply luxury. The entertainment program, pirate evening, 70s 80s party, captain's dinner is simply great.

Cabins:

The 76 outside cabins are spacious, 11-14 m² in size, and feature elegant, comfortable interiors. The Standard and Comfort cabins feature two single beds, while Superior cabins have a separable double bed. All cabins are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe, and individually controlled air conditioning.

Higher: Middle deck or upper deck, separable double bed, French balcony
ECO: Cabins are located in the front/rear of the ship. Disturbances due to operational noise may occur.

We'll be happy to accept your non-binding cabin preference upon booking. However, cabin numbers are expressly not part of the contract.

The quality of the cycle paths is excellent. The cycle path usually runs on paved bike and dam paths or quiet country roads without any significant gradients. Therefore, this trip is also suitable for inexperienced cyclists.

Own wheels

Dead weight when loading and unloading max. 23 kg (without battery - will be (dis)assembled on land). Batteries cannot be charged directly on the bike.

Rental Bike Disclaimer

If a traveler rents a rental bike, he is generally liable for damage and theft. When you book our rental bike liability waiver, we assume liability so that you do not have to bear any financial responsibility in the event of loss or damage to the rental bike (provided it is used and secured properly). The only exceptions to this are lost keys, batteries and chargers from e-bikes, as well as damage caused by intent or gross negligence.

Visitor's tax, city tax or cultural tax, which is not included in the travel price, is EUR 2,00 - 3,00 per person/night, payable locally.
