Etsch cycle path Innsbruck

From the mountains to Lake Garda and on to Verona, a wonderful bike tour that begins at the Austrian-Italian border at the Brenner Pass: You cycle downhill through old villages and past castles and green meadows in South Tyrol. Along the Adige you reach the Veneto region with stays on Lake Garda and in Verona, the city of the opera festival and the most famous couple in the world (Romeo & Juliet).

Individual arrival and overnight stay.

On today's stage you reach the Brenner Pass with a transfer and then cycle along the Eisacktal cycle path to Brixen. The marked cycle path is partly flat and slightly uphill through picturesque villages to the Franzensfeste fortress. Pass Lake Vahrner and cycle to the traditional one
Neustift Monastery and from there to Brixen.

The stage to Bolzano is quite short, so you can treat yourself to a stopover in the artist town of Klausen with its impressive Säben monastery hill.

On the cycle path you follow the Etsch, past apple orchards and wine-growing areas and through the villages of Auer, Neumarkt and Salurn. You cycle along the bank towards Trento.

You reach Rovereto and Mori. From here the route continues westwards with a decent climb to Lake Garda. Before leaving for Riva, you should definitely enjoy the view of the lake from above! You take the boat to the southern tip of the lake. The boat trip alone is worth the trip.

Today the tour takes you to Verona. Worth seeing are the Roman Arena, the Church of San Zeno and the House of Juliet.
