Mit dem Floss auf der Fulda in Rotenburg

From Fulda you can easily reach Gersfeld in 40 minutes by train in the middle of the Rhön. Free parking at the hotel, rental bikes at the hotel.

In the morning, a short transfer (10 km) takes you and your bikes up to an altitude of 950 m. You follow the young Fulda downhill on well-developed cycle paths through the beautiful natural landscape of the Rhön. In Fulda you should take enough time to visit the famous baroque district.

Today you dive into the densely wooded Vogelsberg. The romantic castle town of Schlitz will inspire you before you reach the festival town of Bad Hersfeld (tickets can be purchased in advance on request).

One of the most beautiful passages of the Fulda cycle path awaits you today! The romantic half-timbered old town of Rotenburg, embedded in the narrowest part of the Fulda valley, and Melsungen attract with lovingly restored half-timbered houses.

Another day with highlights. You roll through the Fuldaauen in Kassel and reach Hann. Münden - one of the seven most beautifully situated cities in the world (Alexander von Humboldt). Idyllically located at the confluence of the Werra and Fulda, the old town still enchants all visitors with over 700 half-timbered houses from six centuries.

Today your journey along the Fulda ends after breakfast in the hotel. For all those who would like to continue cycling, we recommend an extension of the cycling holiday along the Weser or you can book our practical return transfer service for your return journey to the start hotel in Gersfeld

Very nice bike ride

A very nice bike ride. Wasserkuppe to Hann.Münden we liked it very much. Only a few things you can do better: => Hotel with no elevator and rooms on the top floor. Hard work at the end of a sporting day doesn't have to be. => Rooms not exposed to the noise. => Bikes: Two bags and a handlebar bag with map holder like last time. => Wheels: Lubricated chains would be nice. We had to buy chain oil. => Wheels: Bremsreplace blocks before metal on metal.

Fulda cycle path

It was a very nice bike trip with good bike paths and excellent signage. In the hotels there was always a very good breakfast buffet. Staff and atmosphere was excellent everywhere. Only in one hotel was the furnishing of the room less good.
