Day 1: Arrival in Gersfeld
From Fulda you can easily reach Gersfeld in 40 minutes by train in the middle of the Rhön. Free parking at the hotel, rental bikes at the hotel.
Day 2: Gersfeld – Fulda, approx. 42 km
In the morning, a short transfer (10 km) takes you and your bikes up to an altitude of 950 m. You follow the young Fulda downhill on well-developed cycle paths through the beautiful natural landscape of the Rhön. In Fulda you should take enough time to visit the famous baroque district.
Day 3: Fulda – Bad Hersfeld, approx. 55 km
Today you dive into the densely wooded Vogelsberg. The romantic castle town of Schlitz will inspire you before you reach the festival town of Bad Hersfeld (tickets can be purchased in advance on request).
Day 4: Bad Hersfeld - Melsungen, approx. 53 km
One of the most beautiful passages of the Fulda cycle path awaits you today! The romantic half-timbered old town of Rotenburg, embedded in the narrowest part of the Fulda valley, and Melsungen attract with lovingly restored half-timbered houses.
Day 5: Melsungen - Hann. Münden, about 64 km
Another day with highlights. You roll through the Fuldaauen in Kassel and reach Hann. Münden - one of the seven most beautifully situated cities in the world (Alexander von Humboldt). Idyllically located at the confluence of the Werra and Fulda, the old town still enchants all visitors with over 700 half-timbered houses from six centuries.
Day 6: Departure from Hannoversch Münden
