On their own. Cottbus is a small city with lots of nature and beautiful parks. There is fun and games in the Eliaspark, the Spreeauenpark and the Tierpark. The day can end with cinema, bowling, children's theater or a delicious meal on the Altmarkt.

Overnight place: Cottbus

First it goes to the largest village in Germany. In Burg you have earned a break on the adventure playground in the Kur- und Sagenpark. For thirsty guests, we recommend ordering a cool shower at the Alter Spreewaldbahnhof. This is brought directly to the table by a small train. The summer pool in Vetschau also offers refreshment.

Overnight place: Vetschau or Raddusch

Follow the red cycling devil to the Slawenburg Raddusch (on your own). Immediately afterwards, a maze and a show farm await you. Now comes the actual Spreewald. You cycle along Fliess through the shady high forest and come to the small lagoon village of Lehde. You will find many local fish in the Spreewald aquarium (own management).

Overnight place: Lübbenau

There are five harbors in Lübben to choose from to take a boat trip or rent a paddle boat yourself. Then off to Schlepzig, the prettiest village in the Lower Spreewald. In the farmer's museum (own management) you have the opportunity to taste homemade cakes and learn how to spin with a real spinning wheel.

Overnight place: Schlepzig or Krausnick

On the way to Lübben, you cycle either to Lake Köthen with a subsequent mountain stage and rapid descent, or to Tropical Island (under your own management), a tropical bathing paradise in one of the largest halls in the world. She has a height of
107 meters and there would be space for eight football pitches. Slides, lagoons, rainforest, saunas, white beaches and a kids' club make hearts beat faster.

Overnight place: Luebben

After a raft ride on a great water playground, continue on the cucumber cycle path. Have a bottle of linseed oil pressed for you in the Dutch mill in Straupitz. Afterwards you can have fun in the "Spreewald Thermen" (incl.).

Overnight place: Castle

Halfway you should make a detour to Dissen today. Dissen is one of 10 stork villages in Germany, ie it is a village with a particularly large number of storks. You can use a camera to look directly into a nest in the stork museum. Right next to it is the local history museum (in-house) about the Sorbs, to whom the Spreewald owes many customs.

Good family tour

Our family really enjoyed the bike tour. However, we changed your suggestions in the tour booklet so that an average of 40 km was driven per day. Like last year, the organization of the family bike tour Rügen worked perfectly.
