Family tour along the Atlantic coast

Today is a short leg of the journey, allowing you to discover Bordeaux before departure.

Leaving the vibrant city of Bordeaux, you cycle along the banks of the Garonne River and then through Bordeaux's residential areas before reaching the flat and well-paved Bordeaux-Lacanau cycle path. End the day with a refreshing swim in the hotel pool.

Today is a perfect day for cycling, as you'll follow the cycle path to the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way, you'll cycle through a cool pine forest until you reach Lacanau. This popular seaside resort offers long, sandy beaches and opportunities for surfing. Don't hesitate to take a dip in the sea before checking into your hotel!

Today's route takes you along the coast as you cycle along the Atlantic Ocean and the shores of Lake Lacanau. Take some time for a swim in the sea or simply relax on the beach. If you wish, visit the Pond of Cousseau Nature Reserve. You'll discover a variety of landscapes, from dunes, ponds, and marshes to small woodlands and diverse flora and fauna.

Cycle along the coast on the national cycle route. You can stop as often as you like to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean and the beaches. At the end of the day, Cap Ferret offers a breathtaking view of the Dune of Pilat, the largest dune in Europe. Take the ferry to Arcachon and admire the bay from a maritime perspective.

Meet the oyster farmers in Gujan Mestras and sample oysters fresh from the lagoon. The Leyre Delta is a nature reserve where you can observe many bird species in the Le Teich ornithological park. Learn more about the local flora and fauna. You can also choose to take a boat trip down this charming river, the Leyre.

Excursion tip: Cycle along the coast and the dunes, enjoy the sea and the iodized air. Admire the panorama from the Dune of Pilat, the highest dune in Europe.
