From the Golden City of Prague to the old imperial city of Vienna - this cycle tour connects two of the most beautiful cities in Europe. On your journey you will cycle through wonderful primeval and cultural landscapes. Lush meadows and deep green forests alternate with small, idyllic Bohemian villages. You will pass numerous castles and palaces and cross pristine river and pond landscapes. The hilly region of South Bohemia and the Waldviertel will require some effort, but a good Budweiser beer will make up for it. The rivers of the Moldau, Kamp and Danube will show you the way for long stretches. Simply a cycle tour whose nature and sights promise relaxation and which will delight everyone.
We recommend arriving early. The "Golden City" is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The historic city center has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. The historic buildings, the winding streets of the old town and the breathtaking view from the Charles Bridge are ideal for a stroll through the city and awaken the first joys of vacation.
Overnight place: Prague
The Vltava shows you the way out of Prague. The slightly hilly and varied landscape will enchant you. On your day's journey you will pass numerous small, idyllically situated Bohemian villages. The small houses with wooden gables inevitably attract attention. Many cozy pubs invite you to enjoy a refreshing beer. You will spend the night in the Sedlčany area.
Overnight place: Sedlčany/surroundings
Today you will follow the course of the Vltava River for the most part, passing through numerous small Bohemian villages and the deep green Bohemian forest. You will soon reach Zvíkov Castle, which was one of the most important castles in Bohemia in the Middle Ages. You will finally have reached today's destination in the picturesque little town of Písek.
Overnight place: sand
A fascinating primeval and cultural landscape will accompany you almost all day today. The cycle path runs partly along the romantic banks of the Vltava. Following the route you will pass lovely towns such as Týn nad Vltavou. Nestled in beautiful nature you will reach Hluboká Castle, which sits on a hill high above the Vltava and is well worth a visit. At today's destination a delicious Budweiser beer offers the perfect refreshment for some of the day's exertions.
Overnight place: České Budějovice
You will experience pure nature on today's stage. There are numerous meadows and forests in the South Bohemian landscape. The region has been declared a nature reserve by UNESCO and the so-called South Bohemian Pond Plateau has been created through the long-established pond farming. The completely untouched nature is a wonderful experience for every cyclist. But culture and architecture are also on offer: historical buildings, old fortresses and picturesque villages line your route.
Overnight place: Gmuend
Your stage takes you through the north of Lower Austria. The region known as the Waldviertel is characterized by numerous river and pond landscapes. The cycle path takes you through seemingly endless forests with fresh air and wonderful originality. And the Waldviertel cuisine is also known far beyond its borders: carp and potatoes are the culinary ambassadors of this region.
Overnight place: Rosenbur/Gars am Kamp
The Kamptal cycle path leads you quickly via Langenlois to Hadersdorf. A beautiful cycle path and also relatively flat. Now the first vineyards around Krems in your field of vision. From Hadersdorf you continue by train to Tulln. Take time to visit the Egon Schiele Museum before cycling the last few kilometers along the Danube to Vienna. You can reach your accommodation comfortably and without car traffic via the Danube Island. (65 km + train ride)

After breakfast your bike tour ends. We recommend an extended stay in Vienna. Our return transfer in the bike bus is very convenient and can be booked optionally.
