Experience three cycle paths in one holiday. Follow the North Sea Coast Cycle Route down the Elbe and along the North Sea coast to Brunsbüttel. Then it goes on the Kiel Canal route to Kiel. Cycle against large ships that float high like a multi-storey house next to you to the rhythm of the ship's diesel engine. From Kiel you follow the Baltic Coast Cycle Path along the Holstein beaches past the island of Fehmarn to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
In the course of the day, travel to the metropolis on the Elbe on your own. Experience the vibrant city from the water on a harbor tour (incl.). Marvel at the largest model railway in the world in Miniature Wonderland. Stroll through Hamburg's warehouse district and visit the Spice Museum. Get in the mood for the coming days.

Along the banks of the Elbe from Hamburg through Blankenese to Wedel. Through the Elbe marshland protected by dikes via Uetersen to Elmshorn and Glückstadt.

The tour along the Elbe leads through the charming little town of Glückstadt to Brunsbüttel. The Kiel Canal begins in Brunsbüttel. In the large lock system you will see many an ocean giant.

Today you leave the North Sea on your bike tour. Watch the ebb and flow for the last time. Cycle along the world's busiest man-made waterway on consistently flat terrain. The Kiel Canal Cycle Path now always follows the canal via Hochdonn to Rendsburg. The more than 800-year-old city is lovable and worth experiencing.
Overnight place: Rendsburg
This stage takes you to the north side of the canal. In Sehestedt change sides, either through the pedestrian tunnel. Race one last time with the passing ships. We continue past Kiel to Friedrichsort and take the ferry to Laboe (on our own). Then along the Baltic Sea coast to Schönberg.
Overnight place: Schönberg or the surrounding area
Pretty seaside resorts, wide beaches and stately estates in the hinterland will enchant you on this stage. You cycle along the Hohwachter Bay, which, with its kilometer-long sandy beach and 20m high cliffs, creates a particularly beautiful landscape. Via Weißenhäuser Strand you cycle to Heiligenhafen not far from the island of Fehmarn.
Overnight place: Heiligenhafen, Grossenbrode or the surrounding area
A short ride takes you to Lübeck Bay, past Dahme and Kellenhausen to Grömitz. Grömitz is one of the oldest and largest seaside resorts. Further south you reach the Holstein Baltic Sea town of Neustadt.
Overnight place: Neustadt or surroundings
You reach Travemünde mostly along the beaches and beach promenades of Haffkrug, Scharbeutz and Timmendorf. Bathing facilities are plentiful. Cafes, restaurants, boutiques and shops line the beaches in a colorful succession. You can shorten the last stage by taking the S-Bahn (on your own) from Travemünde to Lübeck. The return of the rental bikes (if booked) and the departure from Lübeck is your own responsibility. Alternatively, we would be happy to book you an additional night in Lübeck.
