An extraordinary museum landscape, the Karlsaue State Park and the Wilhelmshöhe Mountain Park with the huge castle and the Hercules statue also offer plenty of entertainment at other times.

Enjoy a relaxed bike tour along the Fulda to Melsungen. This historic half-timbered town is over 1000 years old. You will like the flower-decorated alleys here as well as the Landgrave's Castle, the Romanesque-Gothic town church and the idyllic market square.

Today you follow the course of the Fulda river to Rotenburg ad Fulda in the wooded north of Hesse. Experience the over 750-year-old history of this place, fortified with walls and towers, up close.
Through the attractive low mountain range between Fulda and Werra to Eschwege. Some of the houses in this half-timbered town lean a little and this is precisely why they gain character. Also pay attention to details: the citizens decorated their houses very lovingly.
