Masuria means nature straight out of an old picture book: black forests, rolling hills and dreamy villages. Thousands of larger and smaller lakes glitter like jewels in the midst of extensive forests. Without a doubt, the Masurian Lake District is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Poland. A natural paradise for white storks. Here eels, pike and perch swim in the lakes and wolves, lynxes, raccoon dogs, bison and Polish horses, the so-called tarpans, roam the forests. The landscape is characterized by peaceful tranquility in huge primeval forests and nature parks, wide heath areas, crystal-clear rivers and lakes, and avenues that are more than a hundred years old. Environmental protection and green development are priorities here. So far, five landscape parks and numerous nature reserves have been established in this region. As the green lung of Poland, Masuria is rightly one of the most beautiful cycling regions in Europe.

Day 1: Arrival in Warsaw
Arrive on your own. Discover the beautiful city of Warsaw on a walk and receive the travel documents in the evening.
Overnight stay in Warsaw
Day 2: Warsaw - Masuria region, approx. 15 km + bus ride
Early this morning you will take the bus to Masuria. First stop at a picturesque spot in the middle of the Johannesburg Heath. This is where Ernst Wiechert was born. Get in the mood for Masuria. From there our bike tour to Krutyń begins.
Here you will be welcomed with very good food. The friendly owners are very engaging and friendly. All rooms, whether single or double, have their own shower and toilet in the room, are warm and clean.
Overnight in Krutyń.
Day 3: Krutyń – Ruciane – Wojnowo – Krutyń, about 50 km
Bicycle tour through the Puszcza Piska / Johannisburger Heide, the largest forest area in Masuria with dense spruce and pine forests. Many animals live here, including deer, elk, roe deer, wild boar, rabbits and foxes. At noon you will have a break in the village of Ruciane.
In the afternoon you drive through Masurian villages to Wojnowo/Eckertsdorf. This village was founded by the Russian Old Believers. In this picturesque village you can visit a Russian Orthodox Church and a monastery right on the shore of Lake Druze.
Dinner and overnight stay in Krutyń.
Day 4: Krutyń - Nikolaiken, approx. 40 km
Optional: After breakfast, kayak tour on the most famous and most beautiful natural river in Masuria - Krutinna. You will experience one of the most beautiful stretches of this journey: pure water, in which the landscape is reflected unclouded, there are fish and birds, especially many kingfishers. Nature lovers are always enthusiastic about this area.
In the afternoon you cycle through the Masurian Landscape Park to Nikolaiken. With its secluded forests, moorland and wide lakes, the Masurian Landscape Park is a scenic pearl of the former East Prussia. Good forest trails and narrow roads will take you to a scientific station where beavers and small Polish horses called tarpans are kept. Then you take a ferry across in about 15 minutes and then continue to Nikolaiken.
You will spend the next two nights in a hotel beautifully situated by a lake in the Nikolaiken area.
Enjoy dinner under the stars in a typical hotel in the Mikołajki/Nikolaiken area.
Day 5: Nikolaiken - Venice of Masuria, approx. 35 km
Today's bike tour takes us along the Masurian Lakes around Nikolaiken.
In the morning a cruise on the White Fleet ship from Mikołajki to Ryn. A boat trip full of scenic impressions awaits us on the northern part of the longest channel lake in Poland. We end our boat trip at the foot of the historic crusader castle in Ryn/Rhine.
In the afternoon a bike ride past picturesque villages and the Masurian canals.
Relax in Nikolaiken in the afternoon. City stroll and coffee break.
After dinner optional campfire with accordion music.
Overnight stay in a typical hotel in the vicinity of Mikołajki/Nikolaiken.
Day 6: Nikolaiken - Rastenburg, approx. 45 km
After breakfast we drive along the Rheiner See. On the way you can visit the Masurian Museum, where you can also have a coffee and cake break.
In the afternoon you continue to Nakomiady/ Eichmedien where you can visit a spacious park.
The tour continues to the 3* hotel in Kętrzyn/Rastenburg. Early dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: Rastenburg - Sensburg, approx. 50 km
In the morning you can optionally visit the Wolf's Lair. Then a bike ride along the Great Masurian Lakes to Steinort. History and fate of the Lehndorff family - the castle and the park. From Steinort we continue cycling along the Great Masurian Lakes in the direction of Giżycko/Lötzen.
From Giżycko/Lötzen or surroundings bus transfer to Mrągowo/Sensburg [60 km].
Overnight stay in a beautiful lakeside hotel in Mrągowo/Sensburg.
Day 8: Excursion to Sensburg, approx. 50 km
In the morning you cycle from Sensburg to Swieta Lipka / Holy Linde, where there is a beautiful baroque church. Optional: visit with a guide and an organ concert.
In the afternoon we continue to the old Masurian town - Reszel/Rössel, where you can visit the mighty castle.
Dinner and the last night in a nice lakeside hotel in Mrągowo/Sensburg.
Day 9: Departure from Sensburg
Early bus transfer to Warsaw. Arrive in Warsaw around 11.30:XNUMX am.
Journey home or individual extension in Warsaw.
