The Vistula is the longest river in Poland and connects important historical cities in Poland such as Krakow, Warsaw and Gdansk. The queen of Polish rivers is a natural river. It forms a landscape that can no longer be found anywhere in Europe. Its course was hardly regulated; You can still see the formation of islands and the washing of the banks. It crosses the entire country from the Beskids in the south to Gdańsk in the north. The Vistula is home to many mammals. Here you can meet the rare otters as well as numerous beavers and muskrats. But the greatest wealth of the river is its birds - here you can meet most species at the same time as well as rare and endangered bird species.

If you want to get to know the world on the Vistula, we offer you an eight-day bike tour from Krakow to Warsaw along the Vistula. On the way you will visit old and historical places, such as the medieval town of Sandomierz and the Renaissance castle of Baranów. The Vistula still flows unregulated in its riverbed today. The nature and bird protection reserves there offer the opportunity to observe nature. At the beginning of the trip you can also take advantage of a detailed tour of Krakow, the “Florence of the North”.

Individual arrival to Krakow. Check-in at the 3* hotel in the Old Town in Krakow. Evening at leisure.

Overnight place: Krakow

Meet your Polish tour guide at your starting hotel in Krakow. After breakfast, we'll embark on an approximately 3-hour walking tour of the historic Old Town with its distinctive lute-like shape, gathering our first impressions. We'll begin at the vast Market Square (approx. 40.000 m²), one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, surrounded by restored patrician houses, the Town Hall tower, and the small Romanesque Church of St. Adalbert. Krakow's landmarks, however, are the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) in the center of the square and the famous Gothic St. Mary's Basilica, from whose tower the traditional carillon is played daily. Inside St. Mary's Basilica is the most exquisite treasure of Krakow's churches: the Marian Altarpiece by Veit Stoss. An optional lunch break and a short transfer towards Niepołomice. In the afternoon, a bike tour through the Niepołomice Forest to Hebdów near Nowe Brzesko.

Overnight place: Hebdów/Niepołomice

Today we are driving through a lonely area where life is still unhurried and interacts with nature. After breakfast, a bike ride along the Vistula from Nowe Brzesko to Zalipie. We cycle the last few kilometers through small, beautiful villages to Zalipie, where we visit the “Painting Houses” museum. During a cozy one

After a coffee break we learn more about this tradition. Meeting an artist. Then bus transfer to Baranów Sandomierski. Baranów Castle is a world-class architectural monument; Kraków's Wawel Castle served as a model. Dinner in the castle. In the evening we relax with a walk through the large and beautiful park.

Overnight place: Baranow/Surroundings

After breakfast, we visit the castle rooms in Baranów Sandomierski, before cycling along narrow roads along the Vistula to Sandomierz in the morning. The city is located in a wine-growing region and on the way we visit a winery where we stop for a wine tasting. In the afternoon we visit one of the oldest cities in Poland, Sandomierz, which, like Rome, is situated on 7 hills on the Vistula. First the old town and then the attraction of Sandomierz - the underground corridors and rooms.

Overnight place: Sandomierz

After breakfast we cycle through small villages along the Vistula to Annopol. On the way we relax on the Vistula. Interesting nature observations are possible thanks to the many nature and bird conservation areas
Possible. In the afternoon we continue to Józefów on the Vistula River. The hotel is located on the Vistula.

Overnight place: Józefów on the Vistula

After breakfast, we cycle along the Vistula River towards Kazimierz Dolny. Our route takes us through orchards and blooming gardens. In the afternoon, we visit Kazimierz – a beautiful town on the Vistula. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Kazimierz was an important port on the Vistula for the export of Polish grain. The many granaries are still in use, though today many are converted into guesthouses or hotels. Kazimierz is a former shtetl – a Jewish town. Dinner will be in a cozy restaurant.

Overnight place: Kazimierz Dolny or surroundings

After breakfast, a bike tour along the Vistula River via Puławy to Gołąb. There, we will visit the Bicycle Museum (1 hour). In the afternoon, bus transfer to Warsaw. Check-in at a 3-star hotel near the Old Town, followed by a one-hour guided walking tour through the vibrant Old Town, concluding with a farewell dinner at a lovely restaurant in the Old Town.
