The Salzkammergut stretches between the wide expanses of water of over sixty lakes, surrounded by the gentle hills of the Alpine foothills and against the spectacular backdrop of the Alpine peaks. Experience this picturesque natural landscape on the cycle routes on the banks of the sparkling lakes - through dense forests, gentle meadows and moor areas and across lush green meadows. The region achieved prosperity thanks, among other things, to the “white” gold that gave it its name.

The start and end point of this e-bike trip is the world-famous Mozart and festival city of Salzburg. Its old town, characterized by domes, has been a World Heritage Site since 1997. Along the Salzach and over a railway line, you will reach Lake Wallersee with your e-bikes. Your route leads along Lake Irrsee to Lake Mondsee, where you will spend two nights. After a trip to the turquoise Fuschlsee, you will first come to Lake Attersee, then Lake Traunsee. On your stage at Lake Hallstatt, you will pass the UNESCO-protected place that gave the lake its name. In Bad Ischl, you will experience the sophisticated spa life at the time of Franz Josef I. You will spend two days at Lake Wolfgangsee before you return to Salzburg after a stop at Hellbrunn Palace.

You stay in very comfortable, mostly family-run hotels (with two double nights) and enjoy good Austrian cuisine.

Individual arrival at the start hotel.
a) Flight to Salzburg. Taxi to the starting hotel (approx. 25 euros, not included).
b) Car: Parking in the hotel car park (charges apply).
Our tour guide welcomes you to the Hotel Imlauer at 17 p.m. You will then start a shared city tour. For dinner, return to the hotel's beer garden.

On your first cycling stage you briefly follow the Salzach. A former railway line takes you effortlessly over the first hill to Lake Wallersee. Small patches of forest and farms in the middle of hilly fields line your cycle route to the Irrsee. The town of Mondsee welcomes you with a charming old town, which is characterized by the former monastery. For the next two nights you will sleep in the Schlosshotel Mondsee. You will also have dinner here today.

Small roads through hilly meadow landscapes lead you to Lake Fuschl: it sometimes shines turquoise blue, sometimes emerald green in the midst of a breathtaking mountain landscape. It used to be reserved exclusively for fishing by the Archbishops of Salzburg, but today it is ideal for swimming. Later you will return to the hotel with your e-bikes. The evening is at leisure.

First it goes along the shore of the Mondsee, then to the Attersee. In Unterach you board a boat that takes you across the lake to Attersee (not in June, then 14 km more cycle path). Your destination for the day is the ceramics village of Gmunden, where you will stay overnight and have dinner in the comfortable Seehotel Schwan.

You take the train to Lake Hallstatt. You cycle along the lakeshore on your e-bikes. In the spa town of Bad Ischl you stop at the former Imperial and Royal court confectioner. Finally you reach St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang, where you spend the next two nights at the Seehotel Billroth (except for the 3rd date). In the evening you go to a restaurant.

Today you have the opportunity to climb the Schafberg with the help of the historic rack railway (not included) - and hike down if necessary. Or you can get to St. Wolfgang by bike or boat (not included). Alternatively, you can spend the day at the hotel. The evening is at your leisure.

From Lake Wolfgangsee you will pass Lake Fuschl again, then you will take the e-bikes to Lake Hintersee. Your hilly cycling stage will take you through forests, meadows, the wild and romantic Strubklamm and the more lovely Glasenbachklamm. The Salzach valley will take you to Hellbrunn Castle. After the tour you will return to your starting hotel, Imlauer.

For the final dinner you go to a restaurant.
