What do you think of when you hear "Holland"? Exactly, a region made for cycling: windmills, green polder landscapes with sheep and waterfowl, tulips, "picture-book towns" crossed by canals and the fascinating metropolises of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
The start and end point of this trip is the beautiful Utrecht with its canals that are up to 1.000 years old. You will travel along the Vecht through the idyllic "Garden of Amsterdam", where wealthy city dwellers have built their summer residences since the Golden Age. After the bustling street life of the big city of Amsterdam, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the nearby "Waterlands" with its colorful fishing villages. Behind Haarlem you will reach the North Sea with its famous seaside resorts.. The Hague, seat of the government and important global institutions, exudes a calm atmosphere in its streets and squares. On the way to Rotterdam, you will visit the university town of Delft, the beautiful home of Jan Vermeer and Delft Blue.
Rotterdam presents itself in contrast: Europe's most important port city is a fascinating mecca for modern architecture and innovative urban planning. The Kinderdijk then takes you back to Utrecht, passing UNESCO-protected windmills from the 18th century.

a) Rail: Good train connections to Utrecht. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station.

At 17 p.m. our tour guide will welcome you at the Hotel Park Plaza Utrecht. Take a walk together to see the city's sights. In the evening you eat in a restaurant.
The guiding principle of your cycling day is the river Vecht. The Dutch picture-book landscape of the "Garden of Amsterdam" captivates with pretty canal villages, prestigious villas, houseboats and windmills. After a stop in the fortress town of Muiden, you cycle leisurely along small green paths to the big city of Amsterdam. The extraordinary boutique hotel Jakarta on Java Island will accommodate you for the next two nights.
Today you will discover the polder landscape on the IJmeer and Markermeer. Your e-bikes will roll along the coastline to the island of Marken. You will take a boat to Volendam and then continue to the cheese town of Edam. You will take small paths through the idyllic “Waterland” with its wet meadows and water birds back to Amsterdam. After a canal tour, you have the evening at your leisure.
Overnight place: Amsterdam
You can reach the tranquil Haarlem by bike. After a short tour of the city, you will reach the North Sea. The route runs along the coastline through the undulating dune landscape to Scheveningen. Once you arrive in The Hague, you will spend the night in the sophisticated Hotel voco The Hague near the parliament (except for the second date). After the city tour, you will eat in the hotel.
Overnight place: The Hague
A short e-bike tour through The Hague, then you cycle on cycle paths and along a canal to the beautiful town of Delft. Later you follow the waterway at a leisurely pace to the port city of Rotterdam. At lunchtime you enjoy the delicacies in the extraordinary market hall. Together you take a city tour by bike to the innovative architectural highlights. You sleep centrally in the Bilderberg Park Hotel. For dinner you go to a restaurant.
In the morning, you take your bikes on the boat to Kinderdijk in Rotterdam. Your e-bikes roll along a narrow dam past the UNESCO-protected row of windmills through the polder landscape. You follow the river Lek before returning to your starting hotel, Park Plaza Utrecht, on small paths and along canals. We take you to a restaurant for the final meal.

You can ride this tour in a relaxed manner with an e-bike. The Netherlands has a perfect network of cycle paths. The cycle routes run on traffic-free cycle paths, and less frequently on small, quiet country roads. They are almost entirely asphalted and flat, only the dune landscape on the 4th day is a bit undulating. Even possible headwinds are not a problem with the e-bikes. Please note that there is heavy bicycle traffic in the big cities.
Important instructions
It is important that you have safe control of your bike due to the high volume of bicycles in cities.
Since some hotels require confirmation of the group three months before arrival, shorter-term bookings are only possible on request.
We offer this cycle tour exclusively with e-bikes.
Transporting your own bikes back to the starting hotel is possible for an additional charge.
