This very varied bike tour takes you to the most beautiful old cities that Holland has to offer: Utrecht, Gouda, The Hague, Delft, Schiedam and Rotterdam. There you can enjoy the unique atmosphere with romantic gables and canals. Taste a piece of cheese in Gouda and marvel at the picturesque, well-preserved old town. Delft is known for the fragile works of art the Delfts Blauw (Delft faience) and for the painter Johannes Vermeer, who has achieved world fame. Dordrecht, the oldest city in Holland, has no fewer than 1000 monuments!

This tour is particularly recommended in spring when the flower fields are in bloom
This tour is also possible starting in Amsterdam. Please indicate this in the comments field on the booking form.

Der Binnenhof des Niederländischen Parlaments in Den Haag

Utrecht is very close by and there are plenty of shops, museums and a good nightlife.

Overnight place: Utrecht

We cycle along the Vecht to Amsterdam. The character of the area is mainly shaped by the country estates and tea pavilions that Amsterdam merchants had built in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Attention! Overnight stay Amsterdam:

  • If you stay overnight in Amsterdam on a Saturday, there is a surcharge of €30.
  • Attention! On the following dates a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights in the hotel in Amsterdam is required (and a higher price will be charged):
    • 18-20 April 2025
    • 25-26 April 2025
    • May 29–31, 2025

    • 21st–22rd June 2025
    • 24st–25rd June 2025
    • August 29–31, 2025

Overnight place: Amsterdam

After leaving the historic, atmospheric inner city of Amsterdam, you will cycle through Zuid-Kennemerland, a colorful and natural area. You stay overnight in Zandvoort.

Overnight place: Zandvoort

This stage takes you through the dunes and the flower bulb area. In spring, a visit to Keukenhof, the Mecca for flower lovers, is a must. Experience traditional and modern garden architecture on 32 hectares of parkland. Numerous bathing resorts await you on the coast, such as Nordwijk and Katwijk, from small, cozy family beaches to large, lively seaside resorts.

Overnight place: The Hague

Delft, city of history, culture and relaxation, but also city of the painter Vermeer, the Orangemen, the United East India Company and ceramics. About a million visitors come to Delft every year. Everyone agrees that Delft is one of the most beautiful cities in the Netherlands. Buildings with magnificent gables, tree-lined canals with picturesque bridges and inviting terraces characterize the lively old town. A city worth checking out. Strolling through the romantic city center is a pleasure. In the center is the Grote Markt with Stadhuis and Nieuwe Kerk, which was built in the 14th century and where the ceremonial tomb of Willem von Orange, a monumental Renaissance monument, is located.

Overnight place: Rotterdam

In lively Rotterdam you can admire modern architecture or visit the historic port. Rotterdam offers a huge range of museums, shops and other entertainment options. In Rotterdam you have several options to continue your route. You can go directly to Ridderkerk by catamaran speedboat (FastFerry). From Ridderkerk you drive to Gouda via Kinderdijk (world famous windmills).
The alternative route is 45 km, you cycle directly from Kinderdijk to Gouda.

Overnight place: Gouda

After crossing the special cultural-historical landscape with old rivers, wide polders, lakes and swampy moorland, you will reach Utrecht. It owes much of its lively character to the beautiful canals, which are also truly unique thanks to their waterfront footpaths. Here you can sit on a terrace in the middle of the city and yet right by the water and enjoy the day.
