Experience the island's contrasts Usedom On two wheels: from medieval Greifswald through maritime fishing villages to the glamorous imperial seaside resorts. Enjoy tranquil spots along the Achterwasser lagoon, Polish flair in Świnoujście, and an idyllic boat trip across the Szczecin Lagoon.
You start your journey through the flatlands of Western Pomerania towards the Baltic Sea. Passing the baroque Ludwigsburg Palace, you cycle along the coast to Lubmin with its beautiful sandy beach. The route then leads through the fishing village of Freest to the old ducal town of Wolgast. You then cycle across the Peene Bridge to the island. Usedom and reach the seaside resorts of Karlshagen and Zinnowitz.

The Baltic Sea Cycle Route leads southwards through dune forests and along beach promenades. You will pass through the seaside resort of Koserow before reaching the magnificent imperial seaside resorts of Bansin, Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck – characterized by their seaside architecture and sophisticated history.

Today's itinerary includes a trip to Poland: We'll cycle across the border to Świnoujście. A city ferry will take you across the Szczecin Lagoon, where you can explore the charming island of Wolin. The destination is the town of Wolin itself, steeped in Slavic history. The return journey to Świnoujście is by train (on your own), and from there you'll cycle back to the Imperial Spas.

They cycle through the southeastern corner of the island. Usedom to the small lagoon village of Kamminke with the island's highest point, the Golm. The journey continues via Stolpe to Usedom To the Karnin ferry. Here you can take the electric ferry (on your own) to Kamp on the mainland. Alternatively, if the ferry isn't running, the cycle path leads across the Anklam Bridge to the mainland and on to Anklam.

Bike tour through the Peene Valley River Landscape Nature Park to Lassan, a town on the Peene River in front of the island Usedom. Continue towards Wolgast and through the Wusterhusen region back to Greifswald.
