The train (included) will take you on a short journey to the amber town of Ribnitz-Damgarten. The fascinating Amber Museum is well worth a visit before continuing your journey. There you will learn a great deal about Baltic amber and its significance. From there, the cycle path leads you through the popular seaside resorts of Wustrow and Ahrenshoop (art museum – former artists' colony). You will cycle between the Baltic Sea and the Bodden lagoons, alternating between being close to the beach and along the lagoon side, where you can see the mainland coast in the distance across the water. The Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park stretches along the coast of Darß and Zingst, across Hiddensee, and all the way to the west coast. RügenYou will cycle through parts of this national park repeatedly on your way across the Darß peninsula and Zingst. The coastline impresses with its miles of sandy beaches, offering plenty of opportunities for swimming or a break. You will cycle back to the mainland to Barth, where you will continue your tour back to... Stralsund You can shorten the journey by taking the train (on your own initiative).
