The Kullaleden and Bjäre Trail is a 115 km coastal trail around the Kullen Peninsula and Bjäre Peninsula with diverse and dramatic nature. The area has a rich history, many local artists and great locally produced food and wine. The area is in the Skåne region in south-west Sweden. The trek starts in the medieval town of Helsingborg with the well-known Sofiero Castle Sofiero Castle and further out to small coastal villages and beaches and then further out to the mythical Kullen Peninsula.
There are always exciting stops along the walk: visit the local artists, tour the vineyards and be fascinated by the mighty castles of Kulla Gunnarstorp and Krapperup. Krapperup. Famous seaside resorts like Mölle am Meer, charming Arild, Torekov and everything in between.
Unique culinary experiences await you: How about a gourmet experience at Ransviks Havsveranda, where you can swim in the sea after your meal?

Overnight place: Helsingborg

Hotel example: Elite Hotel Mollberg 4*

Today's hike offers magnificent views of Denmark across the ocean and is called the "Castle Hike". You leave Helsingborg, past beautiful gardens on the small hills above the city. You will soon reach the royal summer palace Sofiero, known for its magnificent gardens. It is advisable to plan a little more time for a visit. Later you will pass small coastal villages such as Hittarp, Domsten and Lerberget. We also recommend a trip to the 15th century Kulla Gunnarstorp Castle. As you reach the charming village of Viken, you will see the Kullen peninsula in the distance. Shortly before Höganäs is Lerberget with its small harbor, which is suitable for a coffee break. When you arrive in Höganäs, check into your accommodation and perhaps stroll through the shops and restaurants.

Overnight place: Hoganas

Fridas Hotel / Fröken Hjorts B&B

Today's hike is quite short and easy, giving you plenty of time for sightseeing and taking the opportunity to enjoy nature and the views. The route leads along paths and smaller gravel roads along the sea. We recommend a very short trip to the historic Krapperup Castle with its impressive park. Once you arrive in "Mölle am Meer", there is a lot to experience: Stroll through the village and look at the charming houses, eat in your restaurant or drink a coffee in the cozy "Mölles Krukmakeri" (Mölle pottery) . Fancy a swim in the sea? Then don't forget the traditional striped swimsuit, known as "the sin in Mölle" since the early 1900s. (Mölle was the first place in Sweden where women and men could bathe on the same beach, so the people of Sweden and Denmark traveled widely to experience "the sin in Mölle.")

Overnight place: Mill

Pensionat Strandgården / Grand Hôtel Mölle

This day is full of experiences and breathtaking views. It takes about 1,5 hours from Mölle to Kullens lighthouse, and the hike leads along rocky paths and through birch and oak forests. Don't miss a visit to the cozy Ransviks Café on the south side of Kullaberg, whose pebble beach is ideal for swimming. Kullens Lighthouse is Sweden's highest lighthouse and has stood here since the 13th century. The view is breathtaking! From here you can make a small trip to the silver cave below the lighthouse. The path from Kullens Fyr to Arild leads halfway through sparse beech forest. At Josefinelund, about 3 km from the lighthouse, there is a nice viewpoint and a rest area nearby. If you feel you still have strength, a few kilometers before Arild, the gigantic work of art Nimis is a must-see! (Note that it is a steep climb down/up to Nimis). Once you have arrived in Arild, you can relax in your accommodation after a long day of hiking.

Overnight place: Arild

Arilds Vingård (Arild's Vineyard) / Arild Beach

After breakfast, take a 45-minute walk along the sea for your first coffee break: Flickorna Lundgren på Skäret - a classic! Then we continue towards the port of Bökebäck. The next stop is Jonstorp, where you arrive on the Bjäre Peninsula after a lovely walk through the heath fields with a magical view of the island of Hallands Väderö and Torekov. The last stage leads through Farhult with its long sandy beach. Maybe an afternoon coffee in charming Albertsgården? The hike leads through the bird area at the mouth of the Görslövsån River, which you cross via a suspension bridge. From Utvälinge take the local bus to the hotel in Ängelholm (journey time 16 minutes, departure once an hour). In your hotel you can use the various saunas and whirlpools.

Overnight place: Ängelholm

House 57 / Hotel Lilton

In the morning you have a short transfer (20 minutes) to Vejbystrand. The hike is easy and leads along paths and small beach paths over fertile fields. You walk along rich meadows, across grasslands and lonely fields. There is a rich birdlife along the sea. At the end of the day you will arrive in the cozy summer village of Torekov. Just outside Torekov is Halland's Väderö/ Halland's Weather Island, which is worth a visit.

Overnight place: Torekov

Hotel Torekov

After Hovs Hallar, you walk across coastal meadows and forests, where a special flora and fauna has developed. You will also come across cobblestone fields. Then you reach Hovs Hallar, where the Hallandsåsen ridge meets the sea. Continue to the lush northern slope of the Hallandsåsen ridge, where you hike through the Englandsdals nature reserve with deep gorges with high rock walls and streams. Later you pass Norrvikens Gardens, approach Båstad, where the last stretch on small roads and asphalt.
