Short tour on the Isar cycle path for families

Your bike tour in Bavaria starts fresh and cheerful along Lake Starnberg. Then we continue through the Osterseen nature reserve, where 19 small lakes form a unique raised moor landscape. A real leisure paradise that also invites you to swim. Passing one of the warmest lakes in Bavaria, the Froschhauser See, you reach Murnau, where you have enough time to visit one of the many museums or stroll through the colorfully decorated old town

You say “goodbye” to Murnau with its beautiful town square and move on. Past the Murnauer Moos and the famous Schwaiganger horse stud, the Kochelsee soon appears. The beautiful Franz Marc Museum is particularly recommended here!

A stage with a lot of time to enjoy. After just a few kilometers through the Kocheler Moos, the shady beer garden of Benediktbeuern Abbey invites you to take your first rest. There's a lot to see afterwards in Bad Tölz, where you'll stay overnight! Two old trade routes have made the city rich, as the beautifully decorated town houses on Marktstrasse show.

At the end of your cycling trip you return to Bavaria's second largest lake. But today at the latest you should treat yourself to a break in one of the shady beer gardens and try Bavaria's regional cuisine. Once you've arrived at the lake's beaches, you can relax wonderfully again. The best thing to do is take a boat trip across the lake or enjoy one of the delicious homemade pastries in the many cafés. You might even spot one of the many celebrities who often get lost at Lake Starnberg.
