On this round tour you will explore the northernmost tip of Germany and also get a taste of Danish air for a short time. The rough North Frisian landscape, the border region to Denmark, the beautiful Geltinger Baltic Sea Bay and the romantic Schlei show you the most diverse facets and offer interesting experiences in the extreme north of Germany.

During the day on your own. In Husum you will find traces of the poet Theodor Storm.
Overnight place: Husum
You can cycle via Nordstrand or directly to the Hamburger Hallig and via the dykes to Dagebüll (own ferry port to Föhr/Amrum). From Dagebüll you can reach Niebüll by train on your own. Niebüll awaits its guests with a natural history museum, among other things.

Before you cycle to the North Sea coast near Sylt, you should not miss a visit to the Emil Nolde Museum (included) with its remarkable exhibition of the artist's expressionist paintings in Neukirchen/Seebüll. Then you go to the dike and take the dike route past the Hindenburg Dam on a circular tour back to Niebüll or Dagebüll.
Overnight place: Like the day before in Niebüll, Dagebüll or the surrounding area
From Niebüll you cycle to the border cycle path, partly along the German-Danish border to Flensburg on the Baltic Sea coast. Flensburg is located directly on the fjord, a long tributary of the Baltic Sea. The third largest city in Schleswig-Holstein is reminiscent of its maritime history.
Overnight place: Flensburg
The trip goes along the Flensburg Fjord to one of the most beautiful moated castles in Germany, to Glücksburg. Alternatively, you can shorten the route with a boat trip. You continue cycling around the Geltinger Bay, through the tranquil fishing to Kappeln.

Today's stage takes you on wonderful paths through the gently rolling landscape ofANGLES via Arnis (Germany's smallest town), Borderby to Lindaunis and further via the Holm (old historic fishing village) along the northern shore of the Schlei to Schleswig. In the Viking Age, the most important trade routes met here and it was from here that the Vikings went on raids and traded.
Overnight place: Schleswig or the surrounding area
You will soon leave Schleswig, the cultural city and the Viking Museum of Haithabu on the banks of the Schlei behind. Via Danevirke you reach the largest archaeological monument in Northern Europe, the Danewerk, near Hollingstedt. Finally, the Eider-Treene-Sorge path takes you back to Husum.
