This varied bike tour along Portugal's Atlantic coast leads from the vibrant capital Lisbon to the most southwestern point in Europe - the Cabo des Sao Vicente. An unforgettable journey to historical sites and through nature reserves full of vibrancy and biodiversity. The early explorers around Christopher Columbus started their explorations across the Atlantic on the Portuguese coast. Go on a tour of discovery and get to know beautiful beaches, typical villages, idyllic harbor towns, excellent cuisine and extensive nature reserves.

Explore the capital's sights, stroll along the lively banks of the Tagus and enjoy Portuguese hospitality.

Overnight place: Lisbon

A beautiful cycle path takes you along the Tejo to the harbor. After a short ferry ride (included) across the wide river, you reach Seixal and start your cycle tour. You cross the peninsula towards the south and marvel at the first impressive rock formations in the Arrábida Nature Park. Breathtaking views of the coast alternate with beautiful bathing bays almost every minute. Your destination today is Setúbal, where the Lisbon nobility had their palaces and country houses built as early as the 16th century.

Overnight place: Setúbal

In the morning, you will take a ferry (included) through the nature reserve at the mouth of the Sado. With a bit of luck, you may even spot dolphins on the crossing. The day's stage begins on the Troia Peninsula with its beautiful beaches and special landscapes. You will probably be amazed by the rice fields, which you would not expect in this region - definitely a special sight. You will continue cycling past great sandy beaches with crystal clear water, lush flower fields and lush green vineyards. The villages with whitewashed houses are also typical and particularly charming here. In Sines, you can stroll along the promenade, visit the castle or simply enjoy the leisurely hustle and bustle of the city.

Overnight place: Sines

One of the most natural stretches of coast in Europe, the Costa Vicentina Nature Park, will delight you with many impressions. Breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean, wonderful beaches, small harbors and authentic fishing villages always tempt you to take a short break. In the evening, enjoy the flair of the coastal town of Vila Nova de Milfontes. Here, too, there is another fantastic sandy beach right at your feet.

Overnight place: Vila Nova de Milfontes

You continue cycling through the beautiful Costa Vicentina Natural Park with its diverse flora and fauna. Impressively high cliffs characterize today's bike tour and the refreshing Atlantic wind blows in your face. You will stay in Aljezur, a few kilometers from the coast, and you will also discover the rural architecture of these villages typical of the area. The historic, small castle towers over the village with a beautiful view over the fertile land.

Overnight place: Aljezur

You will experience a unique highlight on the last stage. You cycle through the special coastal landscape to Cape St. Vincent, the most southwestern tip of Europe with its famous lighthouse and the “Last Bratwurst before America” - it is a special experience to pose for a selfie here by bike. It is now only a few kilometers to Sagres. Your final overnight stop is one of the most important in the Algarve with its rich cultural heritage. The towering cliffs that frame the idyllic sandy beaches are particularly spectacular here.
