If this island were a woman, she would have the reputation of a slightly over-made-up pin-up girl; however, if you met them, you would be amazed at how natural they were. Standing on steep rocky coasts with a view of dreamy bays, you will feel the charm of Mallorca away from the lush nightlife in some regions. Mallorca can also whisper: In the hills in the interior of the island, the wheels of the windmills turn almost inaudibly, and the chirping of cicadas can be heard from the grass. There will also be ups and downs on this bike tour, some descents and climbs await the traveler. Perhaps a symbol of the checkered, 2000-year history of the largest Balearic island? Coast and inland each have their own charms, you will get to know both. In the Drach Caves near Porto Cristo, experience the imaginative, sometimes bizarre architecture that nature tends towards. Your sense of romance will be indulged in picturesque fishing villages and shimmering salt lakes. And of course you will get many an opportunity to swim. Without having rented a beach chair hours before. The Spaniards call Mallorca “La Luminosa – The Enlightened One”. That sounds more like a saint than a pin-up girl.

Day 2: Playa de Palma - Colònia Sant Jordi, approx. 55 km
Welcome and tour information. The stage leads close to the coast to Capocorp Vell, the kingdom of the Cyclopes (remains of the aboriginal dwellings). Typical wind turbines line the way to the Llevant salt pans with the pink and white shimmering salt lakes. The almost white sandy beach "Es Trenc" is considered to be the most beautiful in Mallorca. In Sant Jordi there are more beaches with crystal clear water.
Overnight in Sant Jordi
Day 3: Colònia Sant Jordi – Porto Cristo/surroundings approx. 55-65 km
Via Ses Salines to a botanical garden. Visit to the picturesque bay of Cala Santanyi. Through small fishing villages to the famous natural bridge "Es Pontas". At Porto Cristo are the dragon caves with bizarre images and shapes. A visit with a guide is definitely worth it!
Overnight stay in Porto Cristo/surroundings
Day 4: Porto Cristo/surroundings – C'an Picafort approx. 60 km
Via the sleepy village of Son Carrio to Manacor. Factories here produce the famous Majoricas artificial pearls. Numerous shops offer souvenirs and everyday objects made from hand-made ceramics. Via Petra (a typical "Mallorcan lunchtime snack" is prepared for you here) and Santa Margalida through one of the most enchanting landscapes on the island to C'an Picafort. Today it is again sandy beaches that line the sea.
Overnight stay as the day before.
Day 5: Excursion Port de Pollenca/Alcúdia approx. 40 km
For once, don't pack your bags. You stay for another night in C'an Picafort. The bike tour leads through a bird park (S'Albufera nature reserve) to the bay of Pollenca (Roman port). On the coastal path to Alcúdia (oldest town on the island) and back to C'an Picafort.
Overnight in Alcudia
Day 6: C'an Picafort - Port de Sóller approx. 50 km + bus transfer
Inland via Muro and Inca to the mountainous landscape of the Sierra de Tramuntana. Bus transfer to the Lluc Monastery (visiting possible) and further at 1200 m above sea level, past the large reservoirs, the water reservoir of Mallorca. The descent by bike leads to Fornalutx ("most beautiful village in Spain"); usually you can enjoy an excellent paella menu (included) in a cozy terrace restaurant. You then cycle through orange and lemon plantations down to Port de Sóller, one of the loveliest fishing villages on the island.
Overnight in Port de Soller
Day 7: Port de Sóller - Playa de Palma, approx. 55 km
Breathtaking views over the sea open up the last cycling stage again. Passing the picturesque villages of Deia and Valldemossa, we head along the rugged west coast with its fascinating landscape in the direction of Palma. You should definitely explore the island's capital with its narrow streets and wide squares before you take the cycle path along the sandy beach back to the starting point of the journey.
