A little more than a weekend – but a lot of vacation. On this trip you start in the old Roman city of Trier and follow it MoselThe cycle path winds its way through wide and narrow loops to the confluence with the Rhine. Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and stamina will enjoy this tour. While the route is entirely flat, you'll still cover 70 to 80 km per day. If your stamina falters, you can shorten the route by taking a bus, train, or boat.
Travel early to the Rome of the North. Experience 2000 years of history. You should allow enough time to visit the historic city center, the imperial baths and the Porta Nigra, because in hardly any other city has UNESCO put as many architectural monuments on the list of world cultural assets as in Trier! Your booked rental bike is already ready for you at the hotel and is waiting to give you your lovely ride Moselto show valley.

By far MoselHe does the grinding Mosel-The cycle path takes you first to the wine town of Trittenheim and after a few kilometers to Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest wine town in Germany. Marvel at the relief of the old Roman ship here. Continue to the old town of Bernkastel-Kues. Stroll through the beautiful market square, past proud half-timbered houses and amazing fountains and visit the wine museum. Here you will find information about wine growing on steep slopes, about the different grape varieties, about all the work in the vineyard and in the cellar, about wine storage and of course about wine culture. After this worthwhile break, you continue rolling along the bike path directly on the Moselalong the river bank to Zeltingen. With around 171 hectares of vineyards and the world-famous vineyards of Zeltinger Himmelreich, Schlossberg, Sonnenuhr and Deutschherrenberg, the town is one of the large and well-known wine-growing communities on the Middle Moselle.
Overnight place: Zeltingen
You cycle through the Kröver Nakedarsch wine-growing region to Traben-Trarbach, which impresses with its unique charm. After a worthwhile break, follow the cycle paths to the right and left Mosel via Enkirch, a jewel of Moselle half-timbered architecture and further through the wine-growing region "Zeller Schwarze Katz" to Cochem. Here you leave the Mosel-Cycle path and visit the picturesque center and the old imperial castle (11th century). It's really worth it! The last 12 km of your bike tour to the hotel in Treis-Karden is easy to roll along.
Overnight place: Treis Carden
Take a trip (+16 km) to Eltz Castle, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Germany. Wonderfully romantically located and embedded in pristine nature, it looks like a fairytale castle come true. Back on the Mosel-You can discover the cycle path on the last few kilometers Moselvalley once again typical Moselle wine villages such as Kobern-Gondorf and Winningen. In Koblenz at the Deutsches Eck the Mosel into the Rhine – a wonderful end to your cycling tour. In the late afternoon, you return your rental bikes and can collect your luggage at our partner hotel in Koblenz.
