Cycle through the charming landscape neckardown. Numerous bathing lakes invite you to refresh yourself before you come to the picturesque town of Nürtingen. Via Plochingen, where you should marvel at Friedensreich Hundertwasser's rain tower, you reach Esslingen.

Today your bike tour takes you to the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart. Passing the baroque city of Ludwigsburg you reach Marbach, the birthplace of the famous poet Friedrich Schiller. A visit to his birthplace (incl.) gives an impression of life back then.

You cycle over meadows and fields to Besigheim and then cycle close to the shore to the wine village of Lauffen. Through vineyards you reach the Käthchenstadt Heilbronn. Use the time for a stroll through the old town and visit the numerous monuments such as the Gothic Kilianskirche, the Käthchenhaus or the town hall, which is one of the most beautiful in Germany.

You follow the Burgenstraße and come after NeckarSulm with the German Two-Wheeler Museum. Past lush terraced vineyards and wooded mountain ridges, you pass Hornberg Castle and Zwingenberg Castle and reach romantic Mosbach or the old Staufer town of Eberbach.
Overnight place: Eberbach region
The winds between Eberbach and Heidelberg Neckar now through the hills of the Odenwald. You reach Hirschhorn, which is dominated by its knight's castle. You continue cycling to the town of four castles Neckarsteinach. In Neckargemünd you cross the river again and reach the university town of Heidelberg.
