The North Sea Coast Cycle Path in Schleswig-Holstein takes you from the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg along Germany's largest national park, the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea, to Husum. In Husum you leave the North Sea coast and cross the country to the Schlei to Schleswig. Then follow the Schlei to Kappeln to the Baltic Sea and follow the Baltic Sea coast to the Flensburg Fjord up to Flensburg. In terms of landscape, the route can be divided into three areas. Cross the rural Dithmarschen region north of Hamburg to behind Büsum. Experience the North Sea coast between Büsum and Husum. Then the interior around Schleswig and the Schlei region and with the last stage of your tour the Baltic Sea coast in northern Germany with the destination Flensburg.

Along the banks of the Elbe from Hamburg through Blankenese to Wedel. Through the Elbe marshland protected by dikes via Uetersen to Elmshorn and Glückstadt.
