Of course, the North Sea lures you to go for walks on the beach and sometimes to swim. And in Bremerhaven, it presents itself with fascinating port facilities and giant ships. You cycle to the romantic fishing village of Greetsiel, the largest shrimp boat port in the WeserEms-Region. Take a short break before the journey continues north past the Leybucht, where you may be lucky enough to spot seals.

First you go to the North Sea coastal resort of Nessmersiel before you reach the North Sea resort of Dornumersiel. It is located directly on the North Sea coast with a breathtaking panoramic view of the offshore islands of Baltrum and Langeoog. Many colorful sailing boats line the jetties in the port of Bensersiel from spring to autumn and offer a pretty maritime picture. The goal of today's stage is Neuharlingersiel. The heart of the 300-year-old fishing village is the harbour. Experience the World Heritage Wadden Sea up close and spend the day on our 10-hectare North Sea beach.

With its 3 ports, Carolinensiel-Harlesiel is unique on the East Frisian North Sea coast. The museum harbor with the historic flat-bottomed sailing ships and the wide range of gastronomic offers not only fascinates guests and locals in summer. Wilhelmshaven was founded in 1869 by King Wilhelm I of Prussia as a naval garrison because of its unique and protected location. The city is still Germany's largest naval base today.

Today you cycle along the Jade Bay in the direction of Blexen, where a ferry (not incl.) takes you to Bremerhaven (approx. 75 km). Optionally, on some dates you can also take the ferry* from Wilhelmshaven to Eckwarderhörne (not included and taking into account the timetable) and then continue cycling up the coast to Blexen and Bremerhaven.

You drive through the state of Wursten with its coastal towns at the "Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park" and reach Cuxhaven with sights such as Kugelbake and the Hamburg lighthouse.

Today a day trip by ferry or covered wagon (depending on the travel conditions) to the island of Neuwerk is possible. Impressive building on the island is the lighthouse of the same name. Alternatively, stay in Cuxhaven or enjoy a mainland bike ride by the sea.
