Welcome to Emden. In the early evening there will be an information talk and the bikes will be handed over (if booked). The seaport city was one of the richest port cities in Europe, but never in the Hanseatic League.

Overnight place: Emden

For two hours your way leads across the sea (ferry included) before you reach Borkum, the largest East Frisian island. Once a refuge for pirates, later shaped by whaling, travelers are now conquering the island. Explore the landscapes of Borkum on the 130 km long network of cycle paths.

Overnight place: Like the day before in Emden

Bike tour to the picturesque fishing village of Greetsiel, the largest shrimp boat port in the WeserEms-Region. Don't miss out on a portion of shrimp. Past the Leybucht - where you can see seals with a little luck - to the north.

Overnight place: North or surrounding areas

The crossing from Norddeich to the island, which you can discover wonderfully by bike, takes about an hour. The ferry crossing including rental bike is included in the travel price. Again, a beach walk would be a delightful alternative. Norderney's sandy beach is 14 kilometers long.

Via Dornum to the most beautiful moated castle in East Friesland and further through the marshland to the former East Frisian chief town of Esens. You will like Wittmund with its unique brick buildings. Today's destination is the medieval town of Jever. End the day with a glass of beer or wine.

You reach the East Frisian capital of Aurich, where the East Frisian chiefs and counts ruled for centuries. Follow the meanders of the Ems-Jade channel. Your journey will take you to Emden with almost no cars.
