The starting point of this trip is the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city of Lübeck, from where you can explore the entire Schleswig-Holstein Baltic coast as far as Flensburg on the Danish border. Experience pristine landscapes, steep banks and secluded beaches. In addition to the port city of Kiel, about halfway along the route, you will find lively and traditional Baltic Sea resorts and even a small fjord.

After the first few kilometers you will soon reach the Baltic Sea, where you will continue along the beaches and beach promenades to Neustadt. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming in the Bay of Lübeck. Cafés and shops line the route in a colorful sequence.
Overnight place: Neustadt in Holstein, Timmendorfer Strand or surrounding area
You follow the coast further to the northeast and soon come across one of the oldest and largest Baltic Sea resorts: Grömitz. From there you continue along the Baltic Sea via Kellenhusen and Dahme to Heiligenhafen/Großenbrode. If you still have the energy and time, a detour to the island of Fehmarn is worthwhile.

After a detour via tranquil Oldenburg, the route returns to the Baltic coast towards Hohwacht Bay. There, the tour briefly takes you away from the coast to beautiful Lütjenburg before you reach the sea again and finally Schönberg, today's destination.

After the first few kilometers, you take the ferry from Laboe across Kiel Bay to Friedrichsort. From there, you continue along the coastal curve to Eckernförde. Here you can still find the typical North German old town character. The church in Borby has a beautiful altar structure from 1686 and a rare baptismal font from the 13th century.
Overnight place: Eckernförde or the surrounding area
From Eckernförde you cycle past the Ludwigsburg manor house, the Baltic Sea resort of Damp and various burial mounds across the Schlei to Kappeln. Here you should use the rest of the day to explore the pretty little town.

Through tranquil Angeln and around Gelting Bay, you continue to Glücksburg, one of the most beautiful moated castles in Germany. If you choose to do so, you can shorten the tour by taking a boat to Flensburg. You then cycle along the Flensburg Fjord to the town of the same name on the Danish border and reach your destination.
