Tourenkarte des Fürstlich radeln an der Nordseeküste

Individual arrival to Bruges. Anyone who visits Bruges notices it immediately: this city has always carefully nurtured and cared for its architectural and artistic shadows from the past. Feel free to take time to stroll in refreshing parks and quiet cobblestone streets. And don't forget to admire the modest folk houses alongside the stately mansions. Or you can also go shopping in the center of Bruges.

Overnight place: Bruges

On the way between Bruges and Oostende you will discover, among other things, Lissewege, the best example of a typical village in the hinterland of the coast. The romance and tranquility of this village crossed by a canal will surely seduce you! After Lissewege comes the popular seaside resort of Blankenberge, where you can visit the Sea Life Center. Of course you will also cycle past De Haan, a beautiful village that has well preserved the sphere of the "Belle Epoque" (19th century). After a great tour you will reach Oostende, "Queen of seaside resorts".

Overnight place: Oostende

It's almost unbelievable how much culture can be discovered in a rural province like West Flanders. You will have the opportunity to admire two castles: the first castle is Castle d'Aertrycke, built in 1869. The other castle is Wijnendaele and has a history of about 8 centuries. Torhout is centuries old, but still lively! Enjoy the typical beer "Thouroutenaere" on a terrace at the market square.

Overnight place: Like the day before in Ostend

Like Oostende and Blankenberge, Nieuwpoort is one of the most popular seaside resorts in Belgium. This small town is situated at the mouth of the "Yser" river, a river that was of great importance during the First World War. Admire the marina and the Yser estuary nature reserve, or just soak up the sun on the large, wide beach. The coziness of the small town of Veurne is almost indescribable. Veurne is known for the annual penitential procession.

Overnight place: Like the day before in Ostend

The return journey from Oostende to Bruges is particularly enjoyable and educational! You will pass Jabbeke where you can visit the Constant Permekemuseum (paintings and sculptures). In the observatory "Beisbroek" you can learn all about the mysteries of space, or deepen your knowledge of nature in the nature center.

Overnight place: Bruges

On the sixth day you drive to Knokke, the most fashionable village on the Belgian coast. It's another incredibly beautiful ride, including along the dunes. The main attractions are the nature reserve "Het Zwin" and the picturesque village of Damme. Or, if the weather is nice, you can stay on shore and go for a swim.
