Individual arrival in Regensburg. Regensburg's largely preserved historic Old Town and the Stadtamhof district, with its many listed buildings, have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for several years. It is said that the city boasts the most listed buildings in Europe, with approximately 6.000 listed buildings.

The first stage takes you through idyllic landscapes and past small villages. The first highlight awaits you in Kelheim, where the Altmühl and Danube rivers converge. High above the town towers the imposing Befreiungshalle, an impressive building built by King Ludwig I, which rewards you with a spectacular view after a short climb. The route continues through the Altmühl Valley Nature Park, through wooded valleys, past cliffs and castle ruins. Your tour ends in the charming town of Riedenburg, also known as the "Pearl of the Altmühl Valley." Here, medieval flair and cozy beer gardens await you.

A relaxed ride through the heart of the Altmühl Valley: The route leads along well-maintained cycle paths with virtually no inclines to the pretty town of Beilngries, with its winding streets and baroque parish church. Numerous information panels along the route provide insight into the region's history and the Altmühl Valley's geological features. Along the way, there are several opportunities to refuel with a coffee or simply enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Your bike tour first heads to the old town of Freystadt, where you can visit the center and the Baroque church "Maria-Hilf-Wallfahrtskirche," a significant German Baroque church located in the middle of a meadow just outside the town gates. Today's destination is Hilpoltstein.

Today you will cycle through the Rothsee National Park and then discover one of the oldest canals in the world: the historic MainThe Danube Canal, also known as the Ludwigskanal (Ludwigs Canal), was built by King Ludwig I and offers 101 locks and stunning panoramas. In the afternoon, you'll reach Nuremberg, a city steeped in history and boasting a medieval old town. Along the "Historic Mile," visit the most important and authentic buildings, restored after their destruction in World War II.

Today, the Regnitz Cycle Path awaits you, taking you through a valley route amidst lush greenery. The Regnitz Cycle Path leads you past the "Kettensteg" and "Henkersteg" bridges, as well as the historic craftsmen's houses on Weißgerbergasse, through the verdant Hallerwiesen meadows out of the city. You'll first cycle through green, renaturalized Pegnitz floodplains toward Fürth – a detour into the city center is worthwhile! The route continues along river meadows, shaded by large oak trees entwined with wild hops, through flat landscapes and sandy pine forests, heading toward Erlangen.

Your final bike tour takes you through the meadows of the Regnitz Valley, where you continue along the Regnitz Cycle Path. Take a short break in one of the numerous beer gardens and enjoy a refreshing beer or a slice of homemade cake. You'll visit Forchheim, a small and cozy Franconian town, before cycling to the thousand-year-old imperial city of Bamberg.

Disembarkation takes place after breakfast until 09:00 a.m. Afterwards, individual departures home.

The MS Casanova welcomes you into a magnificent ambiance reminiscent of the Rococo style. Playful details and reproductions of paintings by renowned artists create a sophisticated appearance. The castle-like Panorama Salon, with its playful style, invites you to relax with a glass of wine or a cocktail. In the elegant restaurant, we cater to your culinary needs. The spacious, partially covered sun deck, equipped with loungers and seating, entices sun worshippers to enjoy the passing scenery. Please note that the steps to the sun deck are very steep.

Cabins: 48 outside cabins on two decks, approx. 12 m2 Large, equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe (deposit required), minibar, onboard telephone, and individually controlled air conditioning. Engine and generator noise can be heard in the Eco cabins. In the cabins with single beds, the beds are separated, one of which can be converted into a sofa during the day. The cabins with double beds have a large bed (1,60 x 2 m) with two separate mattresses.

Minimum number of participants 70 people up to 21 days before arrival

The tour can also be booked in reverse order (tour code BAY 20).

Taking your own bikes with you: Due to limited space on the sun deck, bringing your own bike is only possible upon request and only to a limited extent. We accept no liability for loss, theft, or damage – this also applies to transport damage from the ship to shore and back.

Excursion program: aCan only be booked directly on board. A brief description will be provided with your travel documents. Depending on the group size, the excursions may be offered bilingually (German-English).

Timetable and program changes are generally reserved. If, for example, a route cannot be navigated due to low or high water or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a free reason for cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by the authorities and not announced in advance.

Other notes: Please remember that your riverboat is, on the one hand, your "vacation hotel," but on the other hand, it is also a working tool that moves using motor power and must be operated constantly, even at night (sometimes when passing through locks and bridges). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Lock passages are subject to disruption and unfortunately cannot be changed.

Digital travel documents and maps In the interests of sustainability and climate protection, do without printed travel documents and opt for our digital route book. The GUIBO app is your constant companion. One look at your smartphone is enough and you are safe and carefree on the road, with all the important information at your fingertips. Travel information, ship information, contact details and also your bike tours can be found digitally in the route book, even offline, so they are available at any time. The app is available free of charge and works on all commercially available smartphones. You will automatically receive the access data to download your booked trip by email before the start of your trip.
