Discover the enchanting beauty of Belgium on an unforgettable journey. This tour takes you through some of the country's most impressive cities, each with its own unique charm and historical richness.
Your journey begins in the medieval city of Bruges, often called the "Venice of the North." Stroll through the picturesque alleys, admire the well-preserved historic buildings, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the numerous canals. Well-maintained bike paths will take you to Antwerp, the city of diamonds and fashion. Here, a fascinating blend of historical heritage and modern life awaits you. Visit the magnificent cathedral, explore the trendy fashion district, and experience the vibrant art scene. Let yourself be tempted by the culinary delights and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of this fascinating region. This journey is a perfect combination of history, culture, and enjoyment—a true highlight for every traveler.

Individual arrival in Bruges. The crew will welcome you on board from 16:00 PM. Take some time to explore this fascinating city. Known throughout Europe as a city of art and museums, Bruges' old town, with its numerous canals, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the hustle and bustle around the Grote Markt with a good cup of coffee or tea.

The bike tour continues through the small town of Damme ("birthplace" of Till Eulenspiegel) and Groot Ter Doest, with its picturesque Ter Doest Abbey, to Lissewege, the "most beautiful village in Flanders" – whitewashed houses cluster on both sides of a small canal and around the imposing village church. The route then continues directly to the coast. A long sandy beach and numerous cafés invite you to linger. After a stay of approximately two hours, the return journey to Bruges begins.

During breakfast, you'll travel by boat to Moerbrugge. The entire cycling route follows the Ghent-Ostend Canal through the vast Flemish plain to Ghent. In the Middle Ages, Ghent was the second-largest city after Paris, but its historic center has retained its architectural richness to this day. Your boat will dock for the night at the lock of Merelbeke, a suburb of Ghent and about a 30-minute bike ride from the city center.

After breakfast, you'll leave the metropolis of Ghent and head first to Dendermonde. Worth seeing: the Beguinage with its beautiful local museum. A must: a coffee break on the beautiful Grote Markt. Afterwards, continue to Sint Amands, a route that is one of the most beautiful and winding along the Scheldt River.

Your cycling tour begins today in Sint Amands. You'll cycle past the water tower and then cross the Brussels-Rupel Canal. You'll then cycle through a historic brick-making area, where bricks have been produced since the Middle Ages. You'll then follow the Rupel River and reach the Scheldt. From Rupelmonde, you'll cycle leisurely towards Hemiksem, then downstream along the Scheldt to Antwerp, the world center of diamond processing and your destination for today. The city offers numerous sights, to name just a few: the richly decorated Renaissance-style town hall, the historic Grote Markt, the seven-aisled Cathedral of Our Lady, and the medieval Steen Castle.

After breakfast, you'll cycle through the quiet suburbs of Antwerp, with their beautiful villas and manicured gardens, to Lier. From here, you'll continue along the Nete River to Willebroek, where your ship awaits you again.

While your ship sails along the Willebroek Canal today, your final bike tour takes you through green, rolling hills to Mechelen. What's remarkable about Mechelen is the density of more than 300 listed buildings, including eight churches, in less than three square kilometers. From there, continue to Vilvoorde, a charming suburb about 10 km north of Brussels. Tip: You can reach Brussels by public transport in about 30 minutes. Use the afternoon for a self-guided excursion to this fascinating city, which captivates with its diversity and cosmopolitan flair. (Distance from the berth to Vilvoorde train station: approx. 2 km, train ticket to Brussels: approx. €4 per person)

Taking your own bikes with you: not possible due to space constraints

Timetable and program changes are generally reserved. If, for example, a route cannot be navigated due to low or high water or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a free reason for cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by the authorities and not announced in advance.

Other information: Please keep in mind that your riverboat is both your "vacation hotel" and a working tool that moves using its engine and requires constant operation, even at night (sometimes when passing through locks and bridges). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Lock passages are subject to disruption, and unfortunately, this cannot be changed.
